Stories from the Partner Business Team, Part 1.
“We provide a ‘network of trusted partners’ to makers launching their projectsWadiz.”
Hello, professionals! Please allow us to introduce the Wadiz Partner Business Team.
Jang Yoon-ji : Wadizhelps makers with products or ideas launch their projects to the world through Wadizby filling in the gaps via “external partnerships.” We are a team aligned with the vision thatWadizcreates a world where anyone can take on a challenge.” Currently, we are focusing on operating our “content” partner services.
Could you please tell us a little more about the “Content Partner Service,” which is currently a key focus of Wadiz Business Team?
Jung Jae-beom : This is a service that helps makers create detailed Wadiz campaign pagesin collaboration with experts, ensuring that the story behind their products and brand is effectively communicated to supporters. Any maker preparing for a crowdfunding campaign Wadizcan use this service. The key advantage is that makers can rely on a highly trustworthy service, as content creation is handled by official partners verified Wadiz, and a dedicated Wadiz Partner Business Team manager oversees the entire project.
Is there a particular reason you decided to launch the Content Partner service?
Yoo Cho-eum : We launched this service to help makers who are experts in their products but struggle with how to communicate with backers. In fact, Wadiz official partners have experience as makers themselves and possess extensive expertise in their respective fields. Since creating a Wadiz campaign page requires a deep understanding of both Wadiz and Wadiz, our partners’ expertise is paramount.

Yoo Cho-eum, Team Leader, Wadiz Partner Business Team
Is it fair to say that Wadizoperates its services with "official partners" in order to leverage their expertise?
Yoo Cho-eum: Yes, that’s right. The most fundamental reason is that we want to provide a safety net—a “network of trusted partners”—to the makers taking on challenges Wadiz. When running a business, you often need to collaborate with many partners, but finding good ones isn’t easy. That’s why we started with the idea that Wadizneeded to build a pool of high-quality partners directly.
Jung Jae-beom: Second, it’s to grow together by collaborating with our partners. Wadizaims to be a comprehensive support platform for startups. Not only for makers, but also many of our partner companies are startups or small businesses, so I think it’s meaningful that Wadizgrows together with them through collaboration. In fact, there are companies that started out as makers Wadizand later became partners.

2022 Wadiz Official Content Partner Meeting
How does the content partnership service—involving Wadiz, Wadiz—work? I’d appreciate it if you could focus on the key differences compared to working with other production companies.
Lee Hye-jin: The process for creating crowdfunding content begins with thoroughly understanding the product, followed by the following steps : drafting the initial proposal – receiving feedback Wadiz– finalizing the story – product photography and retouching – and designing the product detail page. The Wadiz content team provides suggestions to refine the initial proposal drafted by our partners, helping to develop a stronger narrative direction. The aspect that makers appreciate the most is the feedback the Wadiz Team provides to the partner agency that drafted the initial proposal. If a maker tells us what changes they’d like to see, a Wadiz Content Team editor incorporates those changes. Since the partner agencies drafting the initial proposals are experts themselves, they sometimes struggle to convey exactly what the maker wants. By acting as a bridge in these situations, we’ve found that makers feel really reassured.
What role do Wadiz representatives play in operating the Content Partner Service?
Jang Yoon-ji : I believe that the Partner Business Team plays the role of a team builder for makers. To launch a single funding project, collaboration is essential not only with Wadiz but also with various relevant departments within Wadiz. I believe our role is to help the managers of each department work together as a single team for the makers. In that sense, I was particularly impressed when a maker actually commented, “It feels like I’ve met a great team made up of experts in various fields.”

Kickoff Meeting for Content Creation for the Funding Project
Stories from the Partner Business Team, Part 2.
“We want to meet the diverse needs of more makers.”
What is your top priority when running the service?
Lee Hye-jin: “I spend most of my time thinking about what makers really need. For makers, Wadiz crowdfunding is the starting point of their business. We’re designing our services with a focus on meeting their practical needs throughout the entire process—from creating product detail pages to mass production, marketing, logistics, and developing distribution channels after the campaign ends.”
Jang Yoon-ji : Looking a bit further into the future, we’re also giving a lot of thought to how we can better meet the diverse needs of a wider range of makers. Since a wide variety of makers—from solo creators to small business owners and mid-sized to large corporations—are preparing for Wadiz funding, their needs are becoming increasingly diverse. We’re exploring ways to meet these varied needs through collaboration with our partners and devising strategies for mutual growth.

Is there a maker or project that stands out in your memory?
YooCho-eum : I remember the maker “BodyScope” because they were the most ideal maker in my opinion. They ran a campaign with mugwort moxibustion items asrewards. First of all, the product was unique, and they actively communicated with supporters in the community and provided excellent customer service. They had previously focused solely on B2B (Business to Business) operations, so this was their first foray into B2C (Business to Consumer) through a Wadiz campaign. I was truly delighted to see such strong results from their funding campaign.
Jang Yoon-ji : I remember the maker “Dareum,” who introduced“Fermented Konjac Ramen,” the most. The results turned out much better than both the maker and I had expected. Wadizhas “PDs (Project Directors)” who provide consulting for projects. The “Dareum” maker’s project was carried out without PD consulting; instead, we connected them directly with the Success Support Team and the Advertising Business Team. We collaborated seamlessly as one team, and the results were excellent—I still feel a sense of pride about it to this day.
Jeong Jae-beom : I remember collaborating with the maker of the shoe brand ‘Elcanto’ stands out in my memory. They first contacted us and asked, “Do you handle funding for companies of Elcanto’s size?” . When I mentioned examples of mid-sized and large companies like Samsung C&T, Dong-A Pharmaceutical, Logitech, and Ider that had achieved great results using our service, they said they wanted to give it a try. Contrary to the maker’s concerns, the“Affordable Derby & Loafer Shoes in the 90,000-won Range”project far exceeded its funding goal as soon as it launched, raising over 30 million won and successfully launching the new product.
Lee Hye-jin: The“Crank Road Bike Helmet”project, which we carried out in partnership with the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, stands out as the most memorable. It was a deeply rewarding project because it allowed Wadizto collaborate with a government agency to provide tangible support to makers who were just starting out. It’s especially memorable because all the makers selected for the program achieved successful funding results, leading to a second round of collaboration.
Which brands would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Jang Yoon-ji: I hope anyone who is confident in their product will join us. If you’re thinking, “This product is really great, but I don’t know how to promote it,” come join us. Together with Wadiz official partners, we’ll work together from a supporter’s perspective to create an even better story.
Yoo Cho-eum: I think this would be a great fit for product planners who are looking for a fresh perspective on their products. As an official Wadiz partner, we offer makers new insights into their products.
Jung Jae-beom: If you’re looking at theWadiz product page and wondering, “How on earth do I make something like this?”—you’ve come to the right place. We’re here to actively help you bring the ideas in your head to life.
