Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) is expanding the reach of crowdfunding, having recorded 7.32 million supporters in the first half of 2026. In May, the platform’s monthly active users (MAU), based on total visitors, reached 10.82 million, surpassing the 10-million mark for the first time in the first half of 2026. With a solid domestic user base and a growing influx of international supporters and makers, Wadiz is establishing itself as a global crowdfunding platform that connects innovative brands and consumers both domestically and abroad.
In the first half of the year, approximately 5,100 makers launched a total of 12,400 projects Wadizthrough its funding and store platforms. Total supporter engagement—including sign-ups for launch notifications, payments, endorsements, sharing, and adding projects to watchlists—reached 7.32 million. This demonstrates that the unique participation flow of crowdfunding—from discovering a project to making a payment and showing support—remained robust.
Overseas participation also increased. Based on overseas shipping destinations in the first half of the year, funding payments were made from a total of 25 countries, with Japan, the United States, and Hong Kong ranking as the top three countries by payment volume. Supporters from various regions—including Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania—participated in Wadiz.
The number of overseas brands entering the Korean market has also increased. In the first half of the year, the number of projects carried out by overseas brands—including those from China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia—increased by approximately 3.4 times compared to the second half of 2025. This indicates that more innovative overseas brands are using Wadizto gauge initial demand and market response from Korean consumers.
In the first half of the year, both international and domestic tech brands achieved success in various fields. The crowdfunding campaign for XGIMI, a global projector brand, surpassed 1.1 billion won, demonstrating strong interest in innovative products. Among domestic brands, projects focused on children’s educational content raised around 700 million won, while those in the health and food sectors raised around 600 million won. Supporters also continued to back projects across various other categories, such as IP merchandise.
A Wadiz representative said, “Crowdfunding is the starting point where supporters eager to be among the first to experience new products meet makers looking to validate market potential,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our global connections and growth support so that domestic and international brands can discover new customers and markets through Wadizand take their businesses to the next level.”
