Wadiznew branded business working with startups and small businesses is off to a great start.
Funding store platformWadiz announced today that its first product,Wadiz Edition, developed with makers, sold out in three days, generating KRW 100 million in sales.
Wadiz Edition is a brand that introduces new products developed Wadizin collaboration with funding makers. It is characterized by the WadizMD collecting feedback from supporters who participated in the funding, planning the 'better point' of the product, and reflecting it in product development.
Brands launching Wadiz Editions can exclusively launch new products with input from their funding supporters on the channels where they built their initial fanbase. Especially for newer brands that lack in-house resources for marketing and advertising, working with Wadiz experts can be a great way to grow sales.
As the first new product Wadiz, we introduced the Hot Spring Shower Filter, developed with Sulab, a brand specializing in hot spring water skincare. The product has garnered attention even before its launch by improving the capacity of the shower filter, which was an additional request from supporters during the funding. More than 5,000 customers signed up for the pre-sale notification, demonstrating high interest.
As a result, the first batch of 1,300 units was sold out within three days of the Wadiz store's launch, and pre-orders are currently ongoing. The first round of sales generated KRW 100 million in revenue, more than double the amount of revenue generated by Sullab's previous funding round in December of last year (KRW 41 million).
This is likely due to the recent rise of the "modisumer" trend in retail. Modisumers are consumers who reinvent products in their own way, reflecting a consumer trend toward greater involvement in product development.
"Every month, we will launch a new Wadiz Edition product that reflects the opinions of our supporters," said a representative from Wadiz store. "We are preparing a lineup of products that reflect the lifestyles of our supporters, including beauty, kitchenware, and electronics. "We plan to help new brands that debut with funding to grow their sales with Wadizand even go global together."
MEANWHILE, WADIZIS PREPARING TO LAUNCH ITS GLOBAL FUNDING SERVICE IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR. IT AIMS TO LEAD THE WAY IN 'EXPORTING K-FUNDING' WITH STARTUP BRANDS AND SMALL BUSINESSES IN VARIOUS FIELDS SUCH AS K-BEAUTY, FASHION, AND FOOD.
