We were holding our regular February “Impact Forum.” The Impact Forum is a company-wide town hall meeting where Wadiz employees share their achievements once a month. It’s Wadizprimary communication channel.
The final item on the agenda for the February forum was a presentation by CEO Shin Hye-sung. Suddenly, the comments section exploded with reactions Wadiz. The hot topic was Wadizupgraded 2022 benefits and compensation system. The announcement that received the most enthusiastic response was: ‘"We will pay all employees a signing (retention) bonus equal to 20% of their base salary".
Signing bonuses are a common incentive offered by many companies in the industry to attract external talent. We all know that to recruit top talent, appropriate compensation must be provided. That’s why we often see news articles about companies offering signing bonuses upon hiring. To provide incentives for recruiting new talent and preventing the loss of key personnel to all employees… It was truly an unprecedented announcement.
Why did Wadizmake this decision?
Signing Bonus 1. News of Wadiz Series D Funding Round

Last November,Wadiz announced that it had secured Series D funding, “REACH TO THE NEXT LEVEL” and held a celebration

“What do Wadiz Wadizneed now that they’ve reached the next level?”
“How can we work with even greater pride?”

Signing Bonus 2. WadizGrowth and Culture, Built Together
Wadizhave been part of Wadiz“growth” and “present.”
While recruiting talented individuals to help drive Wadizfuture growth is important, isn’t it even more important to ensure that the existing members who have been with us all the way to this milestone receive adequate compensation? That’s whywe’ve decided to offer thesame type ofsigning bonus toboth new hires andexisting Wadiz, so that everyone—newcomers andlong-time membersalike—can receive the same compensation.👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wadizcompensation and benefits program Granting of stock options to all employees in October 2020, the abolition of the comprehensive wage system in February 2021, the implementation of a 40-hour workweek, and the introduction of flexible working hours and are continuously updated to align with the way we work.
Ifpersonal growth leads to the company’s growth, and the achievements we create together translateinto rewards, wouldn’t the “pride” of our team members grow even stronger? Moving forward, we will continue to refine Wadizunique work culture, and build a culture where we can grow together.
Let’s keep moving forward together!
Wadizdreams of being the best company—not for everyone, but for ‘someone.’”
