We’ll tell you all about the BetterKit you’ve encountered through a conversation with Jo Eun-bin, a member of the Maker PM Team—the “mother” of BetterKit—and Lee Jeong-hoo from the Design Team.

Q. Hello, please introduce yourself!
Hello. I’m Eunbin Jo, the team lead of the Maker PM Team. As a project manager (PM), I serve as a guide to ensure that Makers have a smooth experience when running their projects. I was in charge of the BetterKit renewal project.
Q. How and why wasBetterKit created?
BetterKit began in October 2020 under the name BetterFundingKit to create positive experiencesfor makers and supporters. Many makers are introducing their products to the world for the first time, and figuring out how to handle shipping can be overwhelming. To help them out, we invited makers who had successfully completed their projects to apply for the BetterFundingKit. We provided them with free stickers and other items they could use for shipping their rewards.
Q. The Better Funding Kit was provided free of charge to successful creators! Now it’s being sold for a fee in the store. Is there a reason for this?
We took some time to review the Better Funding Kit, which was only available until August 2022, to assess what needed improvement and what went well. Makers’ satisfaction levels were generally high. However, since we accepted applications after the project had ended, there were occasional instances where the Better Funding Kit could not be delivered to makers in time. There was also some disappointment regarding the difficulty of placing additional orders when more units were needed than originally anticipated.
I thought, “Why not take this opportunity to improve the quality and maketheWadiz Store’available so that makers can quickly get exactly what they need, whenever they need it? ” And so , since 2023 , we’ve been selling it on Wadiz under the name “BetterKit.”
Q. What's new in the latest BetterKit?
We’ve packed in all the best features Wadiz. The Better Kit is a same-day delivery* item. If you order before 2 PM on weekdays, you’ll receive it quickly via same-day delivery. You can receive the Better Kit even while the project is still running, and if more backers participate than expected, additional orders will be available.

We’ve prepared two versions tailored to different needs: the Eco Package for Green Makers and the Essential Package for Food Makers.
We’ve set the price in the 10,000 won range so that anyone can use it easily and to support makers in their endeavors. We wanted to help ease the burden on makers 😉

Q. The Better Kit includes tape, stickers for attaching to boxes, thank-you stickers, and a guide booklet. How were these items selected?
There were so many different options to choose from. My top priority was asking myself, “If I were the manufacturer, what would I do?” I thought about what kind of packaging would be most essential from the user’s perspective. I decided it had to be packaging that was affordable yet reliable. Once I set those criteria, it didn’t take long to decide on the components!
Q. What aspect did you focus on the most when developing BetterKit?
Copy and DesignThat’s right. The design and copy had to reflectWadizunique character while also making our supporters feel good when they received them. On top of that, we had to keep the price affordable.
We put a lot of care into the wording inside the Better Kit. The BX team and the content team pros were a huge help. Without their help, we wouldn’t have been able to create a Better Kit with such great wording. (Thank you, pros!)
BetterKit Design Concepts
Q. What does Pro, Betterkit’s mother, think is Betterkit’s unique charm?
You can leave a lasting first impressionon your long-awaited supporters! (This is a line written by the Content Team, and I really love it! 👍) The point is that BetterKit helps supporters view the maker in a positive light. If a supporter who has been eagerly awaiting their reward receives a package where even the packaging has been carefully considered, they’ll think, “Oh, this maker is really great!” and trust them even more.
Q. What does the future hold for BetterKit?
BetterKit is just getting started! With no limits on package types or contents, the possibilities for change are endless. Right now, it’s the perfect solution for project creators offering small rewards. We’d love to upgrade it so it can accommodate any type of reward.
I hope BetterKit becomes a product loved by both makers and supporters. I’d love to see BetterKit gain widespread recognition, perhaps through supporters sharing photos of their BetterKit-packaged rewards on social media.

Q. Hello, please introduce yourself!
Hello! My name is Lee Jeong-hoo, and I work on brand design for the Design Team. I’ve been involved from the very beginning, when the Better Funding Kit was first launched, all the way through its rebranding as the Better Kit.
Q. What did you consider when designing the BetterKit?
We’d like to congratulate the makers whose campaigns were successfully funded, and we wanted to provide a visual, easy-to-follow guide on what to do next. That’s why we created this guide booklet, along with keychains and postcards.
We took great care to ensure that makers feel a sense of satisfaction and pride, while also delivering a positive brand experience to supporters. We incorporated this vision into stickers and tape featuring special messages that can be attached to shipping boxes.
Q. So the message on the BetterKit components was created by you! Could you tell us more about what the message means?
Most of BetterKit’s designs feature text. That’s why we put a lot of thought into the messages for our tapes and stickers. What does the creator want to say to the backers? How can we capture the essence of the project—such as the crowdfunding campaign or pre-orders? What kind of message will make the backers’ hearts race? We considered the message from many different angles.
Traces of Worries in the Message
The sticker conveys the message that this product was made possible thanks to the support of our backers. It also expresses our gratitude for your patience while we worked on producing it. When designing the tape, I thought about what I would want to say to our backers if I were the maker.
Q. I imagine there are messages you’d like to share with the creators and supporters that didn’t make it into the Better Kit.
To the makers who took on this courageous challenge I sincerely congratulate you on the success of your project I’d like to say that to you. To our supporters, I want to tell you to take pride in the fact that your participation brought this project to life, made the maker’s dream a reality, and helped the brand grow. 😉
