AI is rapidly spreading across all industries and into our daily lives. In particular, the emergence of generative AI is bringing about significant changes in the way we work and in service development as a whole.
According to the Korea International Trade Association in June 2025, more than 70% of domestic companies are already utilizing AI in at least one aspect of their operations. In line with this trend, Wadiz has also integrated AI across its entire service to make it easier for makers to launch funding campaigns.
Starting with "AI Review" in November 2024, the company launched "WAi," an AI agent that provides real-time support throughout the entire funding process, in July of this year.
We are enhancing our platform by applying AI to three key areas—resolving maker inquiries, automating story reviews, and providing multilingual translation—to help makers prepare for funding more easily and quickly.
In this post, I’ll share how makers have experienced changes since adopting AI, as well as the data and insights we’ve gathered along the way.
WAi, an interactive AI that provides real-time support throughout the entire funding process

You can start a conversation at any time by clicking the WAi floating button in the bottom-right corner of the Wadiz Maker Center screen.
WAi is an interactive AI agentthat provides real-time answers to various questions related to Wadiz, quickly addressing makers' concerns.
When you visit the Wadiz Center, you can start a conversation from any pageby clicking the WAi floating button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Just like ChatGPT, when you ask a question, it instantly provides makers with the information they need—from funding procedures to terms and conditions, policies, settlements, and advertising guidelines.
WAi's average inquiry resolution rate is 84%. What kind of conversations did they have with the creators?
It has been just three months since we launched WAi. Over the past three months, WAi has handled thousands of conversations and achieved an average inquiry resolution rate of 84%.
In this way, WAi helps creators quickly find the information they need—from the start of funding through to operations and settlement—and run their projects more efficiently.
By reviewing the data WAi has collected over time, you can see at a glance what information creators sought most frequently during the funding process.
What questions have makers asked most often over the years?

First, the most common inquirieswere about the project submission and review process (34%).
For makers preparing for their first crowdfunding campaign, the most common question was, “Where should I start?” Concerns were primarily focused on the early stages of launching a project, such as required documents, evaluation criteria, and the approval process.
Next, inquiries related to funding promotion and marketingaccounted for approximately 22%, confirming that makers are highly interested not only in launching their projects but also in how to promote them and build a following.
In addition ,inquiries related to payments, refunds, and settlements (19%) as well as project stories and operations (17%)continued to come in steadily.
Unlike online shopping, crowdfunding operates on a model where production and shipping take place only after a project is successful, so it’s especially important to understand the payment schedule and refund policies. That’s why makers asked a lot of practical questions about the day-to-day operations.
In addition, we received a variety of inquiries through WAi regarding other categories (8%), such as policies, special exhibitions, and global projects.
WAi: Your partner every step of the way in your funding journey
From the very beginning of WAi’s development, the Wadiz Service Design Team aimed to create “a partner who can be with you every step of the way through your funding journey.”
To gain a deeper understanding of WAi’s design philosophy and how makers use the platform, we spoke with Park Hyun-jun, the project manager in charge of service planning.

Park Hyun-jun said of WAi, “The key was to alleviate the sense of uncertainty for aspiring makers and the difficulties encountered along the way for those already in the process.”
“We wanted WAi to be a helpful resource that alleviates the uncertainty felt by aspiring creators before launching a crowdfunding campaign and addresses the challenges faced by creators already in the process. In particular, we designed it to answer questions specific to crowdfunding—such as ‘Can I crowdfund a product that’s already on sale?’—which differ from those typically asked on general e-commerce platforms.”
In fact, WAi's usage rate (approximately 70%) was highest in the phase following the project's launch.

Even makers with extensive funding experience often turn to WAi to improve their skills. Park Hyun-jun said this was what impressed him the most.
“I was surprised to learn that even makers with plenty of crowdfunding experience use WAi to create more polished projects. I realized that WAi is becoming more than just a source of information; it’s a tool that helps makers achieve better results on their own.”
WAi currently provides comprehensive support, ranging from the basic procedures required before launching a campaign to payment processing, settlement, and advertising-related inquiries that arise during the campaign. Thanks to its interactive structure, creators can access the information they need immediately without having to search for it themselves, making the campaign preparation process more efficient.
Park Hyun-jun added that WAi is expected to evolve into a form that seamlessly integrates within Maker Studio.
“We plan to take this beyond simple chat-based conversations and develop it into a system that automatically suggests ‘the right information at the right time’ by integrating with various features within Maker Studio. Our data, design, and development teams are working together to bring this feature to life.”

In this post, we explored how Wadizis using AI to make the funding journey easier for makers, and how WAi is becoming a trusted partner in answering their questions!
While WAi helped kickstart the funding campaign, “AI Translation” breaks down language barriers to help makers connect with global supporters, and “AI Review” automatically evaluates makers’ stories.
In the next post, I’ll explain in detail how these two features support makers throughout the funding process and what insights they’ve generated.
Whenever a maker’s journey becomes a little easier, WadizAI will always be there to support them.
