Even Wadiz employees are backing the "Make It Yourself" campaign by Biple! Due to various factors, including the weather, fruit farming is one of the most unpredictable types of crowdfunding projects. Yet, over 20,000 supporters are cheering on Biple.

Q. Tell us some behind-the-scenes stories about the content!
Earlier this year, I visited Biple’s headquarters in Sejong City to film some content. The CEO of Biple laughed and said, “Whenever the employees want to tease me, they play *The Room of Achievement*.” The employees also told me they enjoyed watching it. I was happy to hear that *The Room of Achievement* had become a fond memory for everyone at Biple.

🙍♂️ While casting Creator Y , I learned about Arencia Maker’s age. It was really impressive that she had built a successful brand despite her young age.Her fearlessness in taking on challenges and her “let’s just give it a try” mindset were qualities worth emulating. I was also deeply impressed by how she improved the rewards by communicating with her supporters.
I wanted to effectively convey my experiences from the shoot to the viewers of the Wadiz Academy. So, I spent a lot of time thinking about how I could best capture the process and background behind creating the rewards.
Q. I heard there was a friendly competition after the shoot?
The creator brought a few products for the photoshoot. After the shoot, they told us we could take the products home, so the production team played rock-paper-scissors to decide who got them. (Laughs) As you’d expect from a popular Wadiz item, the competition was fierce.

A Colorful World Steeped in Tradition: The "Monthly Hanok" Edition
I remember being really impressed the first time I saw “bongchae,” a traditional pigment. It was the first time I’d ever seen a pigment that you grind into a paste like ink. When you drop water onto white porcelain and then rub the bongchae into it, the subtle colors that spread out were not just pretty—they were downright beautiful.

본인의 이야기를 진지하게 풀어내는 인터뷰로 만났다가 예능형 콘텐츠인 성취실에서 만나려니 걱정이 조금 됐죠. 전통이라는 주제가 어렵기도 했고요. 실제로도 대답 중에 땀을 뻘뻘 흘리셨어요. 그런데도 위트 있는 답을 해주셔서 감동했던 기억이 납니다.
Q. Is there a behind-the-scenes story here, too?
🙍♀️ Planner K : For the blind test, team members took turns coloring in the coloring book. One page was colored with standard watercolor paints, and the other with Bongchae; then, the creator had to guess which was which. Once we actually finished coloring, the difference in the colors between the two paints was striking. It was really hard to achieve the same look with watercolor paints as we did with the brush-tip markers. If you watch the blind test footage, you’ll likely be able to easily identify the coloring book painted with brush-tip markers. But please keep this in mind: this was the result of a lot of effort to lead you to the wrong answer… (laughs)

🙍♂️ Creator Y : I remember this episode vividly because it really brought homethe true meaning of being a “maker.” This maker had to revise his original plans and pivot to a different business due to COVID-19—a decision that’s hard enough to make on its own. Yet, he successfully funded a campaign to create eco-friendly amenities and even expanded into Marriott Hotels based on that success.
Listening to the maker’s story, it became clear that this success wasn’t achieved by chance. With the mindset of starting from scratch, they worked tirelessly with the factory owner to create high-quality rewards. They also thoroughly studied Wadiz crowdfunding know-how, various resources needed for campaign preparation, and attended both online and offline lectures. This was the result of their determination regarding the rewards and their passion for crowdfunding.
