According to the project description, the designer wanted to create a hair dryer that could be used as a standalone piece of furniture. Most hair dryers are typically L-shaped and designed to be held in the hand. The PAUZ Standing Dryer features a simple, sleek design that won’t clash with your home’s interior decor, no matter where you place it.
I could see in the story the traces of dozens of design revisions and rounds of testing. From the sketches brimming with thoughtful deliberation, I could tell just how much effort the maker had put into the design.
The reason we can confidently say this is a design you won’t find anywhere else
Thanks to the manufacturer's tireless efforts, the PAUZ standing dryer has now been officially registered as a design.

Design registration involves a rigorous examination process. It’s not something that happens easily. You must spend a significant amount of time conducting a prior art search before filing a design application*. This is because if similar or identical design applications are found to have been registered previously, the likelihood of the application being rejected during the examination increases.
*The process for obtaining a design patent proceeds in the following order: preliminary search, filing, examination, and registration.
Once you complete the design registration process, you’ll have exclusive rights to the registered design for 20 years. Supporters won’t have to worry about whether they can find similar products at a lower price. In fact, since this product is hard to come by outside of this crowdfunding campaign, won’t you feel a sense of pride in owning something unique and special?
