It feels like opening a mystery box every day
“What on earth is this?” That’s the phrase I find myself saying most often while working on Wadiz project review team. Our team evaluates and reviews every single project launched Wadiz. With about 1,000 projects going live each month, we encounter dozens of new projects and rewards every single day. Even though we review projects every day, it’s amazing how new and unexpected things keep popping up. Before I know it, the words “What on earth is this?” slip out of my mouth. Every time I open a project, it feels like I’m opening a mystery box.
While every product and service has its own unique appeal and purpose, I believe that all the makers running projects Wadizshare a common goal.
“I want to help people live better lives.”
Perhaps that’s why, as a project reviewer, every time I unwrap a new project, I find myself wondering what problem the makers were trying to solve. And when a project succeeds, I wonder if the lives of the backers who actually receive the gifts (rewards) prepared by the makers might become just a little bit easier or happier.
Make sure no one is left out!
I was curious when I first encountered Jimmy & Jack Maker’s decaf black tea-infused coffee. After all, Jimmy & Jack Maker had already gained a lot of love Wadizfor their black tea-infused coffee. “Why did they feel the need to make decaf black tea brew coffee again?” “Can it really be decaf if it contains black tea?” “Will it actually taste good?” I started reading the story with my head full of questions.
According to Jimmy & Jack Maker, the original caffeine content of Hongcha Brew Coffee was around 74 mg, but during the process of enhancing its flavor and aroma, it increased to 238 mg. While this was a decision made to improve the taste, they said they were saddened that supporters who had loved Hongcha Brew Coffee specifically because it was low-caffeine felt left out.
So, Jimmy & Jack Maker reportedly made this decision.

But in fact, it wasn’t just fans of black coffee who couldn’t drink as much coffee as they wanted because of its high caffeine content. There are also people who love coffee but avoid drinking it in the late afternoon for fear of losing sleep, and many others who suppress their desire for coffee out of concern for their health. 
So we reduce the already low caffeine content to zero.
You don't like decaf because it tastes bad? We'll make sure it tastes great.
But no matter how caffeine-free it is, there’s really no point in drinking it if it doesn’t taste good. While you often see cafes selling decaf coffee, finding “delicious” decaf coffee is like finding a needle in a haystack. Because of the misconception that decaf coffee lacks flavor, many people—unless they’re sensitive to caffeine—tend to avoid it. I suspect this very misconception was a major concern for Jimmy & Jack Maker as well.
However, Jimmy & Jack Maker reportedly selected decaffeinated coffee beans that faithfully preserve their natural flavor and aroma right from the bean-selection stage. By using beans from which only the caffeine has been removed via a supercritical process, they shatter the common misconception that decaffeinated coffee lacks flavor.
So, what was the result? Judging by the reviews written by our supporters, it seems to have been a huge success.
