Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) announced that it successfully concluded the “Crowdfunding Seminar for the Southeast Region,” held on the 12th at the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry for local entrepreneurs.
This briefing session was held as part of the Southeast Region program under the “Startup for All Project” Local Track, organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and drew significant interest from approximately 200 aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs in the Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang regions. The program was designed as a hands-on initiative to expand the local startup ecosystem, focusing on the “Startup Through Funding” strategy, which helps early-stage entrepreneurs verify actual demand and secure initial customers through funding.
At the briefing, Choi Dong-cheol, Wadiz, and Lee Bo-ra, Category Owner Wadiz, served as speakers and shared insights on the importance of crowdfunding, how to prepare for it, and success stories. Attendees also received the Wadiz Crowdfunding Handbook for novice entrepreneurs, and were provided with information on the “Startups for All” initiative, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, and benefits.
In particular, this event brought together participants of all ages, ranging from teenagers to seniors in their 70s who have been running businesses for many years. Regardless of generation, there was widespread interest in local startups and entering the market at an early stage, and expectations were high for the revitalization of crowdfunding in the tourism and leisure sectors, leveraging the unique characteristics of the Southeast region. Additionally, many attendees expressed their hope that these hands-on startup seminars would continue to expand in the future.
Following the event, participants received one-on-one, personalized on-site consulting sessions with Wadiz project directors (PDs). Through practical consultations on business ideas, target customers, and funding strategies, participants were able to refine their project plans.
Choi Dong-cheol, CEO Wadiz, said, “Through this briefing session, we were able to confirm the strong determination and keen interest in entering the market among entrepreneurs in the Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang regions.” He added, “As a platform that helps anyone turn ideas and potential into actual startups,Wadizwill work alongside makers in the Southeast region to ensure their challenges and growth translate into tangible market success.”
Meanwhile, as the operating agency for the “Startup Project for All” in the Southeast region, Wadizruns a funding-matching program for local entrepreneurs and plans to expand its collaboration to major regions across the country, including the Central, Daegu-Gyeongbuk, and Honam regions, by the end of the year.
