Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) announced that it has taken measures against harmful content and products within its crowdfunding projects to protect minors and has released a transparency report detailing actual operational cases.
Wadizuses AI monitoring to create a trustworthy funding environment. Recently, it has been reviewing content and products that could be inappropriate for minors, continuing its efforts to protect users.
Wadizrecently came across a project that designed a bubble solution product to resemble an actual cigarette and emphasized usage scenarios that evoke the act of smoking.
We determined that this project, which features a design and usage scenarios reminiscent of cigarettes, could be perceived as inappropriate for minors. Accordingly, Wadizsuspended the project and removed it from public view following a review by our operators and AI monitoring, and notified the maker of the decision.
In addition, there have been instances where lighters were offered as freebies in some projects. Wadizproactively reviewed these cases from the perspective of protecting minors, considering that such products could be associated with smoking, and notified the makers of the relevant issues. Subsequently, the projects in question took appropriate measures, such as changing the composition of the freebies.
These cases were identified through WadizAI monitoring and operator review processes. Wadizpublishes a weekly transparency report detailing cases discovered during actual operations and the actions taken, and continues its efforts to protect users.
Heo Ji-eun, COO (Chief Operating Officer) Wadiz, said, “Protecting minors is one of the platform’s key responsibilities that must be continuously managed.” She added, “We will continue to refine our AI monitoring and operational policies to protect users and build trust, and we will work to create a funding environment that both makers and supporters can trust.”
Meanwhile, the full text of the transparency report is available on the Wadiz, and the report is updated weekly.
