– Combining AI monitoring with human review… Implementing step-by-step responses for content requiring further verification
– Identified cases where AI-generated characters were presented as “real user reviews”… Took measures to revise text and images
Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr) announced that it is expanding the scope of its trust management to include expressions where AI-generated content could be mistaken for actual user experiences or reviews.
In a recent food crowdfunding project, an AI-generated image of a person was staged to look as if they had actually consumed the reward. The image even included a specific figure—"lost ○○ kg"—which could have led supporters to interpret it as a real-life testimonial.
During the AI monitoring process, the expression in question was flagged for further review, and upon review by the operators, it was determined that the AI-generated content could be perceived as an actual user experience. Wadizrequested that the text and images be modified in accordance with the Korea Fair Trade Commission’s “Guidelines for the Review of Labels and Advertisements Regarding Recommendations and Endorsements,” among other standards, and the creator has taken the necessary measures to address this.
WadizThe platform is creating an environment where anyone with an idea can easily and quickly launch a crowdfunding campaign and connect with supporters, while continuously refining its operational systems to ensure these efforts are built on trust. Recently, it has expanded its review scope to include cases where images or content generated using generative AI may be perceived as actual consumer experiences or reviews.
We continuously refine our monitoring criteria to keep pace with new content and forms of expression. When further verification is required, we respond on a step-by-step basis—such as by requesting an explanation, requesting revisions, or hiding the content—and we disclose key operational status updates and examples of actions taken through our transparency report.
Heo Ji-eun, COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Wadiz, said, “As new technologies and forms of expression emerge, the platform’s operational standards must evolve alongside them.” She added, “While we will remain open to new initiatives from creators, we will continuously raise our standards of trust so that supporters can participate with confidence, enabling more ideas to turn into challenges.”
Meanwhile, the full text of the Transparency Report is available on the Maker Center at Wadiz and is updated weekly.
