Out with the prejudice that healthy food is boring!
In our busy, fast-paced modern society, where consumption moves at breakneck speed , people constantly crave new and diverse experiences and products. The fervor for consumption is only growing hotter.
Especially in the food industry. Retro concepts, premium ingredients, collaboration foods, unique snacks, and more. Keeping pace with rapidly changing consumer trends, diverse food products are emerging.

Among these, one cultural practice has taken root: the food culture. That is, 'healthy eating'. As interest in sustainable living and healthy lifestyles grows, more consumers are seeking such values in their food choices. Companies producing health foods have also increased. Particularly The trend now extends beyond just ingredients to encompass production methods and packaging, all designed with the environment and sustainability in mind. Thanks to this, consumerscan choose from a wide range of foods that consider taste, nutrition, and the environment. Zero-calorie, upcycling, gluten-free, plant-based ingredients—you've probably heard of them, right?
Do you ever worry about wanting to live healthily but also craving delicious food? Does healthy eating seem like something grand and unattainable?
But you knowwhat? Healthy eating habits might start with smaller steps than you think. And every day, new foodsare being created to help you take those steps!

Wadiz, a crowdfunding platform where you can challenge new services and products, you can easily discover a variety of health foods. are using crowdfunding as a testing ground to gauge the reactions and preferences of early-adopter supporters amidst the competition for new products. Let me introduce you to various Wadiz food projects that capture health with a subtle difference!
Light pork soup? (Sounds tempting)

Even if you drink every last drop of broth, it's only 119 calories! Enjoy Busan's authentic pork soup slim-style (Nutritional information based on 428g of pork soup)
Pork soup with rice, a Korean dish many consider soul food. While it seems close to health because it fills you up heartily, it also feels far from being a light meal. I discovered a healthy meal kit project featuring pork soup with rice from a legit Busan eatery. What makes it healthy?
Rewardin 119 Gukbap uses lean 'Fuji cut' pork from domestic Korean pigs and reduces calories with a light, secret broth. It's said to be 632 calories per standard 800g serving. (*Based on MFDS nutritional analysis) The 119 Gukbap, at 428g, is just 119 calories even when you finish all the broth, with 18.8g of protein and only 2.1g of fat.
Combining it with rice seems like it would create a very balanced macronutrient ratio. If the broth is made with a light recipe, sodium concerns might be slightly reduced too. Hearty soup and health. These two keywords, as different as water and oil, came together through crowdfunding.
Thick desserts? Guilt-free!
I really love desserts. While sugary treats packed with sugar feel great while eating them, I always feel a bit uneasy afterward. Health concerns like dieting, blood sugar, and hormone management start to creep in. But guess what? There are desserts with drastically reduced sugar! This is the Low-Sugar Crumble Cake Project for those who just can't give up their daily sweet fix.
Instead of flour, we used chickpeas and oatmeal packed with protein and dietary fiber to ensure nutritional value. We used alternative sweeteners to reduce the sugar content to just 2g. Most importantly, only plant-based ingredients were used. Thanks to this, even those following a vegan-oriented diet can now enjoy a delicious dessert.

The maker's efforts to reduce carbohydrates, especially sugar, and create healthy desserts are evident in the numbers.
The first project, with 258 participants and a satisfaction rating of 4.7, introduced three flavors: Kakao, Mugwort & Pumpkin, and Black Sesame. The second project, involving 389 participants, added Mammoth and Sweet Corn flavors, unveiling a total of five healthy desserts to the world. Instead of abruptly cutting out beloved desserts with a declaration like, "I'm going to live healthily starting today!", gradually replacing them with slightly healthier options like this is a great approach, right? (For mental health too?!)
A Way for Both the Earth's Environment and Me
Olive oil is commonly used for cooking, but it's also known to be good for your health when consumed raw, one spoonful at a time. I discovered a premium extra virgin olive oil made by a Spanish family with a 350-year tradition of olive cultivation.
Reading the project story, I thought, 'This is the real deal!' The reward, Luce Organic Olive Oil, prioritizes environmentally friendly and sustainable production methods. They adhere to farming practices that absolutely avoid pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers, even if it means lower yields. What if the olive oil we consume is made from olives saturated with pesticides and chemical fertilizers? (Eww 😖) This production method benefits not only the environment but also our bodies.
Luca Organic Olive Oil has earned three certifications: vegan, kosher*, and organic. This signifies environmental friendliness at every stage—from raw materials to production methods to the finished product. And sustainability extends beyond the food itself to the packaging. They used an oil-specific box and tape made from FSC-certified paper printed with soy-based ink. While not perfect, the maker's commitment to continuous improvement resonated with me.

When choosing products, I believe opting for those that are a bit more environmentally conscious—even if they're similar to others—is a form of consumption that nurtures both body and mind. Moving forward, I'll make sure to examine the story behind products more carefully when making choices.
There are many ways to protect both my body and the planet. While using tumblers instead of paper cups and reducing meat consumption for a plant-based diet are good choices, I also believe choosing sustainable products is a meaningful step.
Wadizoffers a wide range of products and brands that prioritize my health and the planet's sustainability. We're so committed that we host the Green Maker eventevery year.
