A brand history filled with encouragement and support

Have you ever had an experience like this? You shared your thoughts, and hearing someone say, “Oh! Me too!” or “I feel the same way!” gave you a real boost. Or maybe you’ve been thrilled to find someone who thinks exactly like you.
No vitamin or ginseng can compare to that feeling. The history of Hans Pumpkin, a Wadiz maker and parenting brand, is built on each and every one of those experiences.

Hans Pumpkin began with the frustrations of a twin mom. Feeling that “if only a single button were added, or a single elastic band included, the product would be so much more comfortable,” she modified various items herself. Not wanting to keep them all to herself, she gave some as gifts to friends and family.
“Is my frustration everyone’s frustration?” The reactions from the friends and family who received the gifts were positive. That’s how the brand, which began with that encouragementhas now been around for 17 years.

When we’re developing a new product, we share a lot of the process right from the planning stage. We seek out various opinions and exchange honest feedback. When you actually see your own ideas reflected in the product… you can’t help but become a fan! Of course!

 

The people who created products the world has never seen before: makers and supporters

Hans Pumpkin, which primarily manufactured fabric products, began making filter-equipped baby carrier covers and stroller covers thanks to the support of its customers. 

It was during the period when wearing masks had become mandatory due to COVID-19. Hans Pumpkin Maker learned that children under 24 months of age should not wear masks due to the risk of suffocation. While searching for an alternative to masks, he discovered microfilters, and that’s how the world’s first baby carrier guard was created. 

The Baby Carrier Guard was first introduced to the world through a Wadiz crowdfunding campaign. A total of 1,855 supporters backed the project, drawn by their empathy for the concerns of the maker, Hans Pumpkin!

The stroller guard, our second crowdfunding project, was developed in response to the many ideas and requests we received from our supporters. This project also garnered support from a whopping 1,796 backers. (This is the power of collective intelligence!)
