– From AI translation to logistics and advertising… Providing infrastructure for global expansion
– Sign-ups and payments from 89 countries… Initial overseas response to K-brands confirmed
– Large-scale promotion offering support for international shipping and marketing running through August 31
Founded in 2012, Wadiz—South Korea’s largest crowdfunding platform—is transforming into an AI-powered global platform that supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners in expanding their overseas markets.
Wadizannounced on the 7th that it has launched the "Wadiz " app service, which showcases Korean crowdfunding projects to customers in 200 countries worldwide.
Wadiz Global Service is designed to use AI technology to address the translation challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners as they expand into international markets, while also providing support for overseas logistics and advertising services.
Just as they did with their previous funding projects Wadiz, creators can now easily run global projects by setting shipping destinations to up to 200 countries.
Wadizprovides a comprehensive range of infrastructure services—including AI-powered translation, matching with international shipping partners, and targeted global advertising—to help domestic makers secure their first international customers through crowdfunding and establish a foothold in the global market.
With the official launch of this app service, we expect to see a further increase in global user acquisition. Currently, the global service is available in English, and we plan to expand language support to include Japanese and Chinese in August. This is expected to help domestic small and medium-sized enterprises secure export opportunities in a wider range of markets.
Since launching Wadiz global web and mobile services last May, Wadizhas introduced over 180 new projects to its global customers and gauged their initial response. Since the launch, more than 6,000 members have signed up from 89 countries, and new transactions have been processed in over 20 countries.
By category, beauty accounted for the largest share at 25%, underscoring the "K-Beauty" craze, followed by fashion (21%), tech and home appliances (11%), and sports and outdoor (9%).
A prime example of this success is Helinox, a leading domestic outdoor brand, which first unveiled its camping cookware—developed with inspiration from the “Nalrohoe” culture of the Joseon Dynasty— Wadiz, raising 35 million won in global funding out of a total of 440 million won in cumulative funding.
In particular, new orders were received from Asian markets such as Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore, confirming the potential for new overseas sales channels.
Wadizis also running a large-scale promotion, including coverage of international shipping costs, to support small business owners in expanding into global markets.
If you launch a global crowdfunding or pre-order campaign by August 31 and achieve at least 100 orders from three or more countries, we will fully cover shipping costs of up to 10 million won per brand.
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, “A transformation has already begun in which domestic small business owners and SMEs are connecting directly with global customers through Wadizand creating tangible opportunities for overseas expansion,” adding, “We will continue to take the lead in strengthening our support across AI technology, logistics infrastructure, and marketing to enable Korean brands to grow on the global stage.”
Meanwhile, the Wadiz Global app is available for download on the Android and iOS app stores. Currently, Wadiz is available in approximately 170 countries, based on the regions supported by the respective app stores.
