Wadiz, Korea's largest crowdfunding platform established in 2012, is transforming into an AI-powered global platform that supports small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in expanding their overseas sales channels.
Wadizannounced on the 7th that it has launched theWadiz ' app service, which showcases Korean crowdfunding projects to customers in 200 countries worldwide.
Wadiz Global Service is characterized by using AI technology to resolve translation challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners during overseas expansion, while also providing support for overseas logistics and advertising agency services.
Makers can easily run global projects in the same way they previously conducted funding projects Wadiz, setting overseas shipping destinations for up to 200 countries.
Wadizprovides comprehensive infrastructure to help domestic makers secure their first overseas customers through crowdfunding and establish themselves in the global market, including △AI-based translation △matching with overseas shipping partners △global targeted advertising.
The official launch of this app service is expected to further expand the influx of global customers. Currently, the global service is available in English, with plans to expand supported languages to Japanese and Chinese in August. This is expected to enable domestic SMEs to secure export opportunities in a wider range of markets.
Wadizlaunched Wadiz global web and mobile services last May, subsequently introducing over 180 new projects to global customers and gauging initial response. Since launch, over 6,000 members have signed up from 89 countries, with new payments occurring in more than 20 countries.
By category, beauty accounted for the highest share at 25%, proving the 'K-beauty' craze, followed by fashion (21%), tech appliances (11%), and sports/outdoor (9%).
A prime example of success is Helinox, Korea's leading outdoor brand, which debuted its camping cookware—inspired by the Joseon Dynasty's 'Nallohui' culture— Wadiz. It achieved global funding of 35 million won out of a cumulative total of 440 million won.
New payments have been generated in Asian regions such as Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore, confirming the potential for new overseas sales channels.
Wadizis also running large-scale promotions, including overseas shipping cost support, to help small businesses expand globally.
Open a global funding or pre-order project by August 31st, and achieve overseas payments from at least three countries or 100 transactions to receive full shipping cost support of up to 10 million won per brand.
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, "The shift where domestic small business owners and SMEs connect directly with global customers through Wadizand create tangible opportunities for overseas expansion has already begun." She added, "We will continue to strengthen comprehensive support across AI technology, logistics infrastructure, and marketing to lead the way for Korean brands to grow on the global stage."
Meanwhile, the Wadiz Global app is available for download on the Android and iOS app stores. It is currently launched based on the countries supported by the app stores, making Wadiz accessible in approximately 170 countries.
