In 2021, throughthe Jin-guk Task Force, we established a clear framework for the first time regarding how Jin-guks (Wadiz) work. It was also a time when we planned and experimented with small-scale events to spread this culture Wadiz. As we entered 2022, we needed a plan to promote the Jin-guk culture more consistently and regularly. To kick things off, we decided to incorporate the Jin-guk culture into the 2022 calendar and hoodie set that Wadizwould use throughout the year.

So that people can experience Korean culture and identity more intimately

First, following the successof Jin-gook’s Clubin 2021, our primary goal is to establish and promote Jin-gook’s Culture as a distinct brand identity.

The Jin-guk Clubis a community of fellow Jin-guks who are working together to build the Wadiz service for a better world. These Jin-guks, whose hearts race at the thought of meaningful work, are all looking in the same direction. Together, they hold a surfboard—symbolizing the Jin-guk who thrives on the rapid currents of change, forging ahead and embracing challenges. Through this club’s logo, we aimed to instill a sense of pride in being a Jin-guk and a sense of belonging as members of the Jin-guk Social Club.

We’ve also captured the culture created by the members of the Jin-guk Club withinthe Jin-guk Culture Identity. To reflect the synergy, impact, and change that emerge when Jin-guk members work together in their unique way, we intentionally designed the Jin-guk Club Identity to feel more dynamic and powerful than its original version. The Jin-guk members continue to work tirelessly together every day to build a healthy funding ecosystem.

Jinguk Culture incorporated its brand identity and key slogan,“Excellence with Integrity,” intohooded sweatshirts, stickers, and calendars, so that Wadizcan see them more often and carry them with them, fostering a sense of belonging and pride.

Conveying Jin-gook's work style in a fresh way

This led us to start thinking about how we could convey Jin-gook’s culture Wadizin a way that was both easier and more engaging. We worried that simply listing the “10 Ways Jin-gook Works” would feel dry and difficult to grasp, so we wanted to find a way to make it more accessible and compelling—something that would make people want to take a second look.

2. I work with a sense of priority and see every task through to completion.
3. If I don’t know something, I ask anyone.
4. I listen carefully to what is said and accurately identify needs.
5. I take on many tasks beyond what is assigned.
6. I offer constructive feedback instead of speaking ill of others behind their backs.
7. If I’m unsure, I report it; if I’m not unsure, I make a decision.
8. I always learn from everything.
9. Rest well to work well.
10. Find a way to delegate my work.

That’s when we came up with the idea of presenting “10 Ways to Work at Jin-guk” in a simple and witty way using English typography. We felt this could help break down the barriers and dispel the perception that company culture is rigid and stale, making it more accessible.

So I created it using English typography.

What if the phrase “We don’t work without a ‘why’” were written in large letters as “NO WHY, NO WORK”? I thought it would make a strong impression on new hires encountering our culture for the first time, and perhaps even resonate with someone who hasn’t been particularly interested in how we work. I believed that using a variety of colors in the graphic design could serve as a vibrant way to convey our work philosophy. We’ve posted it throughout the office and plan to continue using it in various forms of content.

A calendar that combines effective communication with practicality

So, I chose one work method each month and incorporated it into my calendar. My goal was to use the calendar throughout the year so that “Jin-gook’s Way of Working” would naturally become part of my routine. I also made a plan to frequently display each month’s theme both in the office and as my desktop background, so that I could get comfortable with one new work method each month.

This time, I paid special attention to the layout of the front and back of the calendar. We’ve always had graphics on the front and dates on the back, but we realized that no matter how meaningful the graphics were, people mostly only opened the page with the dates when using it. This time, we intentionally included a calendar on the front as well, so thatWadizcan see the graphic side with the message more often.

The first page outlines Jin-gook’s 10 work habits all at once, and we’ve also included space for you to set and write down your monthly goals based on the work habits for each month. This is so you can reflect on them, write them down, and be reminded of them every time you look at the calendar.

In our effort to streamline the calendar by removing unnecessary features and focusing only on the essentials, we incorporated more eco-friendly elements. We replaced the plastic binding with a paper spring to make recycling easier, and for the stand, we used a laminated design that takes into account every stage of the product’s life cycle, from creation to disposal. We also used eco-friendly paper for the calendar’s pages and packaging to further enhance its sustainability.

We hope that Jin-guk Culture’s identity, keywords, and the 10 working principles—all expressed through typography—will naturally blend into every corner of Wadizdesks, clothing, and offices, fostering a deeper sense of affection for Jin-guk Culture Wadiz. Moving forward, we plan to continue using these resources to ensure that Jin-guk Culture spreads consistently and regularly.
