A Wadiz Intern's Hands-On Review of a Project Product: A Firsthand Look at the Crowdfunding Scene

(Warning: I’m about to gush!) First off, as someone who’s tasted this protein Greek yogurt cake, I’d like to start by awarding the “Dr. Munch Munch” Prize to the creators.
It cuts down on fat with Greek yogurt cream and carbs with protein bread…
I’ve found a cake that’s the very definition of “world-class flavor”—so good it deserves the top “Dr. Munch” award from the International Taste Connoisseurs Association!

Enough with the introduction—let’s get going. Here we go with the crowdfunding event!

I found a protein Greek yogurt cake!

👄 As someone who’s “on a diet” 365 days a year, there are always those moments when I feel like my appetite is about to explode, I just have to have some bread, or I’m craving something sweet! (The thing is, even when I’m on a diet, I just can’t resist cake.) For a bread lover and sweet tooth like me, this cake was like a ray of light. It’s the ProNut Protein Greek Yogurt Cake.

First of all, when I received the package, I let out a little scream the moment I opened it because the packaging was so cute. The package features cute illustrations that briefly show what ingredients are inside. It was so cute that I ended up looking at each one, and I found that most of the ingredients are safe even for people on a diet 🥚🍳🥛

It’s made with unsweetened plant-based milk and whipping cream, combined with Greek yogurt cream and cocoa powder instead of sugar. Plus, even if you eat a whole cup of this cake, it’s only 139 calories and packs a whopping 15 grams of protein. But the most important thing is the taste, right? When you hear “low-calorie, high-protein cake,” you might worry that it’ll taste like a compromise.

The very essence of worldly pleasures

The protein cakes came in two flavors: chocolate and plain.

It already looks packed with thick Greek yogurt cream. You can tell just by looking that there’s a lot of it, right? As soon as I opened the package, the strong aroma of chocolate hit me, and my excitement skyrocketed.

I took a big bite. The spoon sank right into the fluffy cake, and just by looking at it, it looked exactly like a regular cake. The soft, moist cake layers are stacked with rich Greek yogurt cream. I was surprised that the texture was just like a basic cake packed with butter and sugar!! Usually, vegan or protein bread tends to have a dry, crumbly texture.

I heard the cream was made with Greek yogurt. I really liked this Greek yogurt—it wasn’t overly tart, which is typical of Greek yogurt. (It was sweet, thick, and creamy, I guess…)

It’s low in calories, has 15 grams of protein, and is made with wholesome ingredients, so I tried it with some skepticism—but the taste was unbelievably delicious!

Why is such an unrealistic taste possible?

How is it possible to enjoy such delicious flavors while keeping the calorie count low?

They say they used "erythritol," a 0-calorie natural sugar substitute, instead of refined sugar in all their ingredients. They even offer unsweetened plant-based milk, which is a big hit with dieters!

You can check the ingredients on the package!

Instead of using whipped cream, which accounts for a large portion of the cake's fat content, they reportedly used a Greek yogurt cream they developed themselves.

This rich, creamy filling is all made from delicious Greek yogurt.

NO FLOUR! I made this bread using protein powder instead of flour or other carb-based ingredients. I was actually a little surprised that it turned out so fluffy—just like a cake.

At this point, a question came to mind.
