Please introduce yourself!
Hello. I’m Y, a video producer who creates content for theWadiz Academy” channel to help makers overcome their challenges.
What is the project note we're releasing today?
We’d like to introduce a program called “Looking for Supporters.” It’s a show that was very well-received, featuring Regina, who calls herselfWadizdaughter.”

Why did you decide to create this series?
Most of the videos we’ve produced for the Wadiz Academy channel so far have been purely verbal explanations. We felt that this might limit the content available to makers. We thought it would be great to have at least one piece of content that vividly illustrates the crowdfunding process.
Content ideas don't usually come all at once.
The idea came to me while filming “The Successful Crowdfunding Interrogation Room.” Listening to the makers’ stories, I realized that the reality of preparing for a crowdfunding campaign is much more intense than I had imagined.
At that moment, a vivid picture of the scene popped into my head, and I thought, “It would be fun to capture this as a reality show!” I also felt it would be helpful for makers and aspiring makers preparing for crowdfunding. So, I proposed the program idea, and that’s how it came to be produced.

What does it cover?
We captured everything on video—from product development and meetings with the factory owner to writing the story and consulting. You can think of it as a collection of the various experiences we went through while preparing for the crowdfunding campaign.
Are there any highlights to look out for in this series?
Take a close look at the creator’s dedication! When you see how they refine their product through face-to-face communication and feedback with supporters, you’ll realize just how much effort they put into preparing the rewards. (It’s a secret that a lot of content had to be cut during the preparation process due to space constraints 😝)
You can check in advance what you need to prepare for the funding process! This will be a great help to (prospective) makers.
The creator's cheerful energy really brightened up everyone who saw it.
That's right. He's the ultimate E-type, so he's a truly unique character, but he also has a serious side to him, making this a fun show to watch just for his charm alone.

Who would benefit most from this content?
This program was designed with aspiring makers and those preparing for a follow-up projectin mind.ButI think our supporters would enjoy watching it too.It shows just how much care goes into preparing rewards for aWadiz campaign and the efforts Wadiz makes behind the scenes to support makers! Regina’s fans might enjoy it as well. (Laughs)
So even though the content is aimed at creators, it’s still fun for everyone to watch.
By the way, your casting skills are impressive. How did you manage to cast Regina?
We once held an offline workshop for influencers WadizSpace Wadiz, and that’s where I first met Regina. She’s such an engaging speaker with so much energy that she was at the top of my mental list of potential guests.
Later, I reached out to ask if you’d be interested in appearing on the “Success Funding Interrogation Room” segment. You agreed to the invitation, and on the day of the shoot, you radiated your signature positive energy and wrapped things up perfectly. I had such fond memories of that experience that I asked you to appear on the “Looking for Supporters” program as well. This time, too, you said, “That sounds like fun. Shall wegive it a try?” As it happened ,the maker was already preparing an encore project, so the timing worked out perfectly.

What steps did you take to vividly showcase the funding process?
We did a lot of filming. We followed the creator around to capture their daily routine and filmed interviews as well. The creator also filmed themselves. In particular, through the interview scenes, we aimed to capture the creator’s unique story and insights. We thought this would be helpful for aspiring creators or those preparing for a crowdfunding campaign.
I also tried to understand what makes Regina unique. After several meetings, I realized that what truly defines Regina Maker is her “smooth communication with her supporters.” I made a point of highlighting this aspect when crafting the episodes and capturing the footage. Perhaps that’s why I think we were able to capture her genuine personality so well.

Did you not set any restrictions on the filming locations?
We only used a follow-cam for large-scale or important scenes; for everything else, the creator filmed using an action camera or a smartphone. That meant we weren’t limited by location.
Do you have a memorable follow shoot?
I’ll always remember the day of the roundtable discussion with Dimaff users. It was an early morning shoot on a weekend, but everyone we invited showed up. Some even traveled from far away. During the discussion, we talked about product improvements, and I realized, “This is how you connect with your supporters.” I was once again moved by their passion and sincerity.

If there are a lot of footage files, it will probably take a long time to organize them.
That's right. It took a long time to sort everything. I had to separate the footage by camera—like personal shots and follow shots—and organize it by scene as well, because that makes editing a little easier.
By the way, how long did you set aside for editing?
After reviewing all the footage shot on location, I did an initial edit. Then I put together the interview questions and filmed the interviews. The entire process—from shooting to compiling the footage and re-editing—took two weeks.
Are there any episodes from the series so far that stand out in your memory or that you’d like to recommend?
I have to say, the final episode is the one that sticks with me the most. It wrapped up with far more backers than any of the previous campaigns. So we threw a little party, and the creator was so deeply moved that it made us feel both proud and emotional.
👉 Curious about the final episode?
I recommend the episode titled “EP.03: How to Write a Story.” Wadiz SD (Success Director) appears in it to share tips on writing stories. If you’re curious about how stories are created, you’ll find this video interesting.
(And after seeing SD's potential in this episode, we decided to prepare another program 🤣)
Finally, do you have a message for the viewers of “Looking for Supporters”?
If you’re a backer, I hope this makes you think, “There really are makers out there with this kind of sincerity.”If you’re a maker preparing a crowdfunding campaign, I hope this content gives you the idea that “I need to prepare something like that, too.”
If you have a great idea, go ahead and try crowdfunding!I’ll track you down somehow and get in touch with you someday!
