Wadizis launching Wadiz'Better Together' project, which aims to create a better everyday life through its 'crowdfunding' service that raises funds with public participation. To kick things off, it has partnered with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Fisheries and Ports Corporation.
Wadiz, a life design funding platform, announced on the 6th that it has opened a dedicated 'Fishing Village Crowdfunding' section to sell specialty products and experiential tourism items developed in fishing villages, actively participating in efforts to strengthen the self-sustaining capabilities of these communities.
This collaboration was established to open new sales channels for fishing villages facing difficulties due to declining and aging fishing populations. As jobs in fishing villages diversify from primary industries like fishing to processing and services, the initiative plans to support new specialty products and services requiring initial funding and promotion.
Wadizhas opened a dedicated fishing village crowdfunding section through a business agreement with the Korea Fisheries and Ports Corporation. As its first project, consumers can discover over 10 products developed in fishing villages through Wadiz dedicated 'Fishing Village Crowdfunding' section until October 11. Representative items include: * Sea urchin roe sauce made from sea urchins harvested directly by haenyeo (female divers) * Autumn flower crabs from Gageongju Village * 100% wild-caught Seosan Haepum kelp
Wadizwill launch its 'Better Together' project, starting with a fishing village support initiative, to create a better everyday life together. This embodies the spirit of crowdfunding—where public support and participation bring ideas to life—by pooling warm-hearted contributions to build a better everyday life collectively.
Through the Value-Adding Project, we plan to steadily continue a win-win initiative that directly connects not only fishing villages but also agricultural and livestock producers and consumers nationwide.
