– Supporting “Fishing Village Crowdfunding” to Open the Future… Launch of Funding for New Fishing Village Specialties and Services
– Crowdfunding, which fosters producer-consumer relationships, joins forces to strengthen the self-reliance of fishing villages
– “Bringing Warm Hearts Together to Create a Better Daily Life” Mutual Prosperity Project to Be Expanded Nationwide to the Agricultural and Livestock Sectors
Wadizis launching the "Better Together" project, which aims to improve everyday life through its crowdfunding service that raises funds with public participation. To kick things off, it has partnered with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Fisheries and Ports Corporation.
Life Design funding platform Wadizannounced on the 6th that it has launched a dedicated “Fishing Village Crowdfunding” section to sell specialty products and fishing village tourism experiences developed by fishing villages, and that it will actively participate in efforts to strengthen the self-sustainability of these communities.
This collaboration was established to open up new sales channels for fishing villages struggling with a declining and aging population. As job opportunities in fishing villages diversify from primary industries such as fishing to processing and services, the initiative aims to support new specialty products and services that require initial funding and marketing.
Wadizhas opened a dedicated section for fishing village crowdfunding through a business agreement with the Korea Fishing Village and Harbor Corporation. As the first project, consumers can explore over 10 products developed in fishing villages at the “Fishing Village Crowdfunding” section on the Wadiz website until October 11. Notable items include: △ sea urchin roe sauce made from sea urchins harvested by female divers; △ autumn blue crabs from Gagyeongju Village; and △ 100% wild-caught Seosan Haepum kelp.
Starting with a project to support fishing villages, Wadizplans to launch the “Better Together” initiative, which aims to create a better everyday life through collaboration. Just as crowdfunding relies on public support and participation to bring projects to life, this initiative embodies the idea of bringing people together with warm hearts to build a better future.
We plan to continue our mutual benefit initiative through the "Value-Adding Project," which directly connects producers and consumers in the agriculture and livestock sectors across the country, not just in fishing villages.
