– Pre-orders for the "Herman Miller" overseas direct purchase campaign, which ran throughout May, exceeded 730 million won
– Premium demand surges for the luxury "Herman Miller New Aeron Full Chair," even at prices in the 1 million won range
Amid sustained demand for "premium" products despite the economic downturn, "Herman Miller"—known for its luxury chairs priced in the 1 million won range—has become a hot topic after generating over 700 million won in sales through pre-orders Wadiz.
Wadizannounced that pre-orders for "Herman Miller" reached 700 million won, indicating that the company has successfully met the demand of customers purchasing directly from overseas.
This project marked the first pre-order Wadizfor Herman Miller products available for international purchase, and it garnered explosive popularity as customers could buy the "New Aeron Full Chair" at a discount of up to 44%.
Within 20 minutes of launching, the project reached 200 million won—20,000% of its target—and went on to surpass 730 million won in total funding over the 8-day campaign period.
The success of this overseas direct purchase pre-order campaign appears to be attributed not only to the exclusive release of new colors and the lowest-price offer—which included three free gifts—but also to the fact that it aligned well with the characteristics of Wadiz. Unlike typical e-commerce sites that focus on product specifications, key factors in the campaign’s success included detailed product pages that clearly highlighted the concept and key selling points, as well as a community where users could transparently track the project’s progress and engage with the team.
Maker Boom Korea, the company behind this project, stated, “This Herman Miller pre-order campaign achieved sales more than three times higher than those on other channels over the course of a month,” adding,Wadiz early adopters tend to have strong purchasing power and provide active feedback, which was a great help in our sales experience.”
A Wadiz representative stated, “Leveraging Wadizexpertise in presenting products and services as content, we will provide new opportunities not only for cross-border shopping but also for various small and medium-sized businesses, and grow together with them.”
Meanwhile, Wadizplans to hold a “Global Showcase” for one week starting July 15, featuring innovative overseas products in the tech and home appliance sectors.
