Crowdfunding Store Platform Wadizannounced that it has been selected as a “2024 Korea Work-Life Balance Excellence Company.”
The “Republic of Korea Work-Life Balance Excellence Award” is a program launched this year by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to recognize exemplary companies based on quantitative and qualitative indicators such as flexible work arrangements and work-life balance.
Wadizreceived high praise for supporting its employees’ work-life balance through various initiatives, including △the introduction of flexible work arrangements, △encouraging active use of vacation time, and △continuous improvements to work practices and culture. This award is particularly significant because it recognizes that these efforts have simultaneously increased employee satisfaction and work efficiency.
In particular, Wadizhas introduced a “flexible work schedule” system to help employees adjust their start and end times flexibly to suit their personal lives. The company implements various programs that go beyond legal requirements, such as providing refresh leave to long-serving employees.
In addition, a culture aimed at strengthening communication among employees is taking root. The company holds a monthly company-wide town hall meeting called the “Impact Forum” and, through quarterly one-on-one meetings and organizational engagement surveys, listens to and incorporates employees’ feedback to further develop its organizational culture.
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, “Being named a ‘Company of Excellence in Work-Life Balance’ is all the more meaningful because it is an achievement we have built together with our employees,” adding, “We will continue to create a work environment where Wadiz employees can work more happily and efficiently.”
Meanwhile, prior to this selection, Wadizwas named a “2019 Gyeonggi Province Outstanding Employer” and was recognized as a prime example of a “startup that has built an innovative organizational culture centered on its employees.”
