Wadizholds an Impact Forum every month. All Wadiz employees gather to express their gratitude to their colleagues and discuss the company’s direction together.
We use this time to share what our colleagues are working on and what we need to focus on next month. The Impact Forum, where we used to sit face-to-face and clap for each other every month, has moved entirely online as the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened.
Although we participated from our respective workplaces or while working from home, I really missed those times when we could see each other’s faces and laugh together without wearing white masks.

News of WadizSeries D Funding Round
In November, as we entered the final month of 2021 with a sense of lingering regret, we prepared a special Impact Forum alongside the exciting news ofWadiz securing Series D funding🙂 Even though we were wearing masks, it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with everyone after such a long time.

Take it to the next level with Wadiz!
The key message of this Impact Forum was “Reach the next level, Keep moving forwardTOGETHER.” We took this opportunity to celebrate Wadizability to reach the next level through its Series D funding round and to share a message about continuing to move forward together with Wadiz community.
Since securing seed funding in 2015, Wadizhas grown steadily while achieving key milestones. In September of this year, we launched the Wadiz Store, and about three months later, we successfully closed a Series D funding round worth 100 billion won. This achievement has created opportunities Wadizto grow further and reach new heights alongside even more makers.

This Impact Forum was organized around two key themes: “Celebration” and “Connection.” CEO Shin Hye-sung shared what the Series D investment means Wadizand the opportunities it offers to makers embarking on new challenges and supporters seeking new experiences in their daily lives.
And of course, no celebration would be complete without delicious food and drinks (including alcohol)! While enjoying the delicious food prepared by the People Team, we even had a dance party at Wadiz, taking song requests via Slack.

Afterward, Impact Forum used a YouTube Live link to show Wadiz members the situation at Wadiz in real time. We wanted to convey that even though we weren’t in the same place, we were connected through this shared experience.
The highlight of the event—who will be the lucky winner?
After all, no event is complete without a special gift. During the meal, we handed out message cards to each of the Jin-gu members. Then, everyone wrote down what they wanted to sayWadiz.
The message cards we created were used for the “Event Raffle,” the final segment of the Impact Forum, and they contained a wide variety of stories.

The event prizes ranged from “hotel meal vouchers” to “AirPods” and “iPads”! Our CEO randomly selected the winners through a YouTube Live stream to distribute the prizes. Cheers of joy and sighs of disappointment could be heard all over the office. (To those lucky winners… I’m so jealous!)
Gifts delivered in real time
Wadizmission is to “create a world where sound ideas grow on the foundation of trust.” We believe that what Wadizdoes best—and what we must do—is to create a starting line where anyone can begin, regardless of the size of their capital, and a fertile ground where founders can grow in a healthy way.
We view the achievement of these two milestones as proof and recognition of Wadiz commitment to doing our best based on what is right, and we intend to keep moving forward. After all, there are countless milestones yet to be achieved Wadiz.
