Just as the season of clear skies and cool breezes was beginning, posts like “Promoting my crowdfunding campaign” started appearing one by one in the Warrior Messenger chat room, as employees announced the launch of their crowdfunding projects.

Crowdfunding? BE THE MAKER?
A single email that inspired the Wadiz employees, each of whom harbored a budding maker spirit.
I'm craving it.
Here’s the story. In the second half of the year, we enhanced our AI recommendation feature. The mobile home screen shifted from a service-centric layout to a discovery-based one focused on user behavior. At the same time, we revamped our existing “Crowdfunding” feature. This change was all part of our mission to create a world where anyone can take on a challenge!
Projects aimed at raising funds for personal self-actualization, charitable giving, promoting public interest, or building communities fall under the category of crowdfunding. In other words, crowdfunding is better suited for projects that create new value for individuals and society rather than for starting a business. (If you're curious about crowdfunding click.) The main difference from the general crowdfunding we’re familiar with is that ‘ready-made products’ can be offered as rewards. This is because in crowdfunding, supporters back the project’s ‘story’—whether it’s self-realization, charity, or public good—rather than the venture itself. Rewards are simply tokens of appreciation for their support and backing!

To coincide with the relaunch Wadizran an internal promotion to encourage employees to try their hand at crowdfunding. Even with just one month to prepare, a whopping 20 employees signed up! This is the result of our policy changes, which make it easy and convenient for anyone to launch a campaign. 😉
Once all internal promotion projects conclude by October 31, Excellence in Funding Awards and cash prizes will be awarded to the top five projects based on the amount of funding raised. Special gifts are also in store for the top two projects with the most signatures. We’ll be revealing, step by step, what kind of makers theWadiz employees have become and which employee will secure the Outstanding Funding Award by raising the most funds!

"Gentle Heart Pro" has launched a crowdfunding campaign to share the knitting skills her mother-in-law has honed through 30 years of self-study with as many people as possible, and to help others discover a new hobby. Supporters who share her mother-in-law’s passion for learning and the value of giving will also receive a knitted tumbler holder—so you can show your support and get a gift at the same time!

“This is a crowdfunding campaign to produce singer-songwriter Mok Ji-hoon’s first EP.”
“Hello. I’m Mok Ji-hoon—a Wadiz producer during the workday and a musician and graphic designer in my free time.”
This is a crowdfunding project to produce an album brimming with the dreams of Pro Mok Ji-hoon, who—despite the challenge of managing even one alter ego—has managed to maintain a whopping two. It’s a project that brings to life Pro’s lifelong dream of becoming a singer, a dream he’s held since he was a little kid. The story really captures his passion for his creative work. As you read, you’ll find yourself cheering on this musician and designer before you know it. I watched cover videos and found myself subscribing to his channel 😁

“A challenge for life: I’m going to go hiking every day for a month.”
Along with preparations for the project, Challenge Life Pro has embarked on a new challenge. The theme is "perseverance." This challenge—to climb a mountain every day for the entire month of October—has kicked off thanks to the support of crowdfunding.
Pro, who loves walking, recently successfully completed a 100-day daily walking challenge. Thinking it might be fun to go hiking every day this time, he set out for the mountains. While doing so, he came across a crowdfunding campaign, and to prevent himself from giving up halfway, he decided to start a one-month project. For the entire month of October, Pro will climb a mountain every day and keep a record of it. October 19 Update, the challenge continues yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Pro says that even if this project fails, the challenge will go on. A life of challenges! It’s so inspiring, and I’m cheering you on.
