K-crowdfunding platforms, which showcase Korean products and intellectual property (IP), are garnering a strong response overseas.

This is a result of targeting the global market, which has a strong interest in K-Beauty and other related trends. Analysts note that the support market—which helps sellers introduce and sell domestic products overseas—is growing rapidly in the wake of the K-Culture craze.

According Wadiz, South Korea’s largest crowdfunding platform, on the 18th, the number of global projects surpassed 100 just one month after the launch of its global service.

There are currently 128 global projects underway Wadiz. The cumulative number of notification sign-ups for the global service has reached 170,000.

Signing up for notifications to gauge interest before the launch of this crowdfunding project serves as an indicator of participants' interest. Just one week after the global service launched, the number of registered users exceeded 5,000.
