Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) has been selected as the operating agency for the Southeast Region of the “Startup Project for All” Local Track, organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The company will support aspiring entrepreneurs in the Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang regions in making a stable entry into the market through crowdfunding.
This project is centered on the concept of “starting a business through crowdfunding.” It’s a model that allows entrepreneurs to first introduce their products or services to the market via crowdfunding, gauge initial demand based on supporter feedback, and secure both funding and customers at the same time. Since it enables a smooth transition to production without the burden of inventory, it’s particularly well-suited for early-stage entrepreneurs.
To this end, Wadizgoes beyond mere education or mentoring by offering a “funding-linked specialized track” that allows participating companies to actually run their own crowdfunding campaigns. Through this process, Wadizshares the expertise Wadizhas accumulated from over 90,000 crowdfunding projects with entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, since launching its global service in May of last year, Wadizhas connected local entrepreneurs directly with international supporters, driven by demand from users in 117 countries and transactions in over 40 countries. This provides local brands with opportunities to expand their markets beyond their home country and into international markets.
Choi Dong-cheol, CEO Wadiz, said,Wadizis a ‘crowdfunding platform for everyone’ that helps anyone see how their ideas are received in the market and turn that into a business venture.” He added, “We will work together to help entrepreneurs in the Southeast region establish themselves in the market and expand globally through funding.”
Meanwhile, Wadizwill host a “Crowdfunding Seminar for the Southeast Region” on Tuesday, May 12, at 3:00 p.m. in the Grand Auditorium of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event is designed for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs in the Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang regions, offering guidance on funding procedures and success strategies, as well as one-on-one personalized consulting with Wadiz project directors (PDs) and a funding guidebook for beginners.
