Wadizis strengthening its role as an innovation test bed to help European startups, including those from Germany, enter the Asian market.
Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-sung,www.wadiz.kr) announced on the 17th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Start2 Group (CEO Claus Karthe), a company specializing in accelerating global innovative startups, to support global startups in entering the Korean and Asian markets.
Through this partnership, Wadizexpects to raise awareness of its platform among German and global startups and to serve as a springboard for entering the Asian market by showcasing innovative European brands and trendy products on Wadiz.
Start2Group is a global accelerator headquartered in Munich, Germany, that operates startup international expansion programs across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and has collaborated with the German government and major institutions.
This agreement aims to leverage the expertise and networks of both companies to help global startups successfully establish themselves in the market, revitalize the crowdfunding ecosystem, and create mutual business opportunities.
Start2Group will recommend global B2C and D2C startups Wadizand co-host information sessions Wadizto encourage these startups to participate in crowdfunding projects. It also plans to provide insights into the global startup ecosystem and technology trends.
Wadizplans to apply a "fast-track review" process to startups recommended by Start2Group, operate a marketing support program worth up to $5,000, and share market insights based on domestic and international startup data.
In particular, in the second half of this year, the two companies will jointly host a year-end awards program to kick off a full-scale initiative for global startups to test the Korean market. The program will primarily support German companies in launching funding projects Wadiz, followed by an evaluation of their performance and the presentation of awards. Through this initiative, participating companies will be able to gauge the Korean market’s response and secure an initial customer base and marketing references.
