Wadizhas taken its first steps as a "cross-border" crowdfunding platform that breaks down borders. This comes as the company begins to actively facilitate exchanges between global platforms to support overseas makers in entering the Korean market.
Wadizannounced on the 5th that it had successfully held a seminar on strategies for entering the Korean market with Backer-Founder, Taiwan’s largest crowdfunding consulting firm and the operator of the funding platform Wabay.
The event took place over two days, June 28 and 29, at BackerFunder’s headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, with approximately 150 promising Taiwanese companies hoping to enter the Korean market in attendance.
The event was attended by So Kang-seop, CEO Wadiz; Lin Tahan, founder and CEO of BackerFounder; and Junichi Anazawa, COO of Green Funding. They discussed trends, characteristics, success stories, and future prospects of the crowdfunding markets in South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan, and shared in-depth strategic plans for entering the Asian market.
Linda Han, CEO of BackerFounder, which hosted the briefing, said, “Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan share many similarities in terms of consumer characteristics, sensitivity to trends, and openness to new ideas,” adding, “Strengthening collaboration among these three countries will help us identify effective strategies for entering overseas markets and marketing.”
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, “With this seminar as a starting point,Wadizwill help Taiwanese manufacturers enter the Korean market and transform into a global platform that introduces innovative products from around the world.”
Meanwhile, following a successful briefing session in Taiwan, Wadizheld a joint online briefing and consultation session with Japan’s Makuake over two days, July 3–4. Approximately 130 small and medium-sized manufacturing companies from South Korea and Japan applied, and 20 of them were connected with distribution agents in each country to receive consulting on global expansion.
On July 24–25, we plan to host an online briefing session for makers in North America and Greater China in collaboration with five Wadiz global partners: △Augen Global Commerce, △Tamiris, △AroundX, △Blancis, and △Hive Korea.
