Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) has released theWadiz Success Formula,” which distills operational know-how based on an analysis of data from projects that achieved high funding results. The goal is to help more makers achieve success based on data rather than intuition or experience.

Algorithm-based exposure expansion played a key role in successful funding campaigns. The Wadiz AI algorithm prioritizes engagement signals from actual supporters—such as notification subscriptions, endorsements, comments, and follows—over simple visitor counts. Projects with higher engagement levels receive additional exposure opportunities on key platforms, such as the main homepage, which leads to increased traffic and broader participation in the funding campaign. New supporters who visit the site leave various engagement signals—such as endorsements, comments, and follows—thereby spreading interest in and trust toward the project.

Wadizidentified “sharing” as the starting point for this engagement. In particular, during the “Coming Soon” phase before a funding project is publicly launched, the more makers shared their projects with friends and acquaintances, the more active the initial engagement tended to be. Subsequently, supporters voluntarily shared projects they were interested in with family and friends, driving additional traffic and leading to an increase in notification sign-ups.

There was also a clear correlation between the actual number of notification subscribers and the success rate. Based on projects launched between January 2025 and March 2026, the success rate was 36% for projects with 1 to 50 subscribers, but rose to as high as 93% for those with 200 or more subscribers. Furthermore, during the same period, approximately 60% of initial sales were generated through notification subscribers, revealing a close link between notification subscriptions and actual purchase conversions.

Meanwhile, ongoing communication between creators and backers was also identified as a key factor in success. Projects that posted 10 or more updates had a success rate of 99%. Content that builds trust—such as updates on the product development process, production status, and FAQs—was found to be more likely to lead to actual funding contributions.

A Wadiz representative stated, “We have found that successful funding is the result of supporters sharing and participating, as well as ongoing communication with the community,” adding, “We plan to continue strengthening our AI-based support features and platform enhancements so that makers can connect with more supporters based on data and achieve tangible results.”
