Hello, I’m Hong Jin-guk, an ENFP promoting Wadiz.
[March’s Jin-gook] Wadizis home to exceptional talent—people like “Jin-gook”—who embody authenticity. “Jin-gook” is a character that symbolizes Wadiz ideal employee and our colleagues. Here’s a look at Wadizculture of appreciation, where we work together to support one another’s needs.
“Since August 2017, 42 Jin-gu residents have been commended”
At the “Impact Forum,” a monthly town hall meeting where we share Wadiznews, the “Jinguk” of the previous month passes the baton to the next person in a relay-style praise session. So far, a whopping 40 Jinguks have been recognized. Amid the hustle and bustle of daily work life, receiving praise from colleagues is surely the most rewarding experience of all. The person giving the praise doesn’t act on their own initiative; instead, they gather feedback from colleagues on “just how amazing this person is” and present it. And as a bonus, the selected individual receives 100,000 funding points to use on Wadiz 😉
Yes, I, Hong Jin-guk, met with my colleagues as part of the [March Jin-guk] campaign to spread the word about Wadizculture of sincere praise for one another!

Hello! To the "Jin-guk of February and March" producers, please introduce yourselves.
KangDong-su: Hello, I’m Dongsu Kang, a data analyst on the Data Platform Team. My role involves extracting and delivering the data needed for your work, as well as creating dashboards that you can use on a regular basis.
Kim Yoon-hee: Hello. I’m Kim Yoon-hee, and I’m part of the Funding Store development team, where I work on developing the Store service. Before the Store service launched, I worked on the Funding service, and I’ve been involved in the Store service since its early development stages last year. Since then, I’ve been responsible for both the development and operation of the Store service.

Dong-su, you praised Kim Yoon-hee as the "Star of March." If you had to describe Yoon-hee in one word, what comes to mind?
Kang Dong-su : To me, Producer Yoon-hee is a “navigation system.”. I feel she handles a wide range of responsibilities and even takes on tasks where the boundaries between roles are unclear. She has a deep understanding of our work history, and even when I ask questions, even if she doesn’t know the exact answer, she always points me in the right direction. That’s why I think comparing Yoon-hee to a ‘navigation system’ is fitting.
Yoon Hee, our “Navigation” expert, what were your days like working Wadiz? I imagine no two days were the same. Do you have any interesting stories to share?
Kim Yoon-hee : Rather than specific episodes, I’d like to share something that comes to mind. Wadiz, we have a culturecalled “Jin-gook’s Way of Working.”
I believe that in order to provide the right answer and suggest a better course of action, I need to fully understand the other person’s needs. That’s why, whenever someone makes a request or asks a question, I usually start by asking about their intent. Some people even say I’m “weak when it comes to intent”—haha!- I often create a lot of homework that no one asked me to do
When you develop and operate a service, you often come across issues that were acceptable at the time but aren’t anymore, or solutions that were the best choice back then but might not be the best for the person I am today (a better version of myself than yesterday!). As a result, I see plenty of areas for improvement. Since I usually work on fairly large-scale projects, I discuss them with my team lead to set priorities and address them accordingly. - I always learn from everything
I’m not sure if I learn from absolutely everything, but 😅 I try to take an interest in and learn anything that could be helpful for my work. I learn a lot from my colleagues, and even though it can be painful at first, I also learn a lot from the challenges I face. It’s incredibly rewarding when I discover something new. It feels like I’m becoming a better developer!

If you're selected for the Praise Relay, you'll receive some perks. We'll be creating a poster featuring your funding points and a special message. Please introduce one project that you'd like to use your funding points on—a project chosen by you, the pro.
Kang Dong-su : I used my funding points as soon as I received them. It’s a project that’s now closed, but I backed a stainless steel frying pan. I’d burned a non-stick pan while grilling pork neck at home. Stainless steel pans seem better than non-stick ones, and since this maker had received a lot of love from supporters in the past, I backed it right away after reading the positive reviews. I don’t have a pan at home right now, so I’d love to give my family a stainless steel pan as a gift soon.

Kim Yoon-hee : There’s a crowdfunding product I really love, and it’s currently running again. It’s an ultra-lightweight umbrella. I backed it because I hate carrying heavy things, and I liked it so much that I backed it again during the relaunch. I can keep it in my bag 365 days a year, so I don’t have to worry at all on days when it rains unexpectedly. Umbrellas are easy to lose, so I tend to stock up on them. Now for the final question: the “Better Message” that every Wadizhas.
Please share your messages for the projects you’d like to make “better”Wadiz.
Kang Dong-su : My "better" message is "We make #decisions better." I believe my role is to support objective decision-making by examining issues from multiple angles using data, rather than relying solely on experience and intuition. Just as Wadizsupports makers’ success, I wrote this "better" message with the intention of helping Wadizmake data-driven decisions as a data analyst.
Kim Yoon-hee : My motto is “We make things #way better.” In my work, I always ask myself if I’m doing things the right way and if there’s a better approach. I believe those choices ultimately pave the way for a better future and provide value to both makers and supporters.
Finally, Kim Yoon-hee, our [March Star], received this compliment from her colleagues.
“Someone with roots as strong as a tree”
“Someone who always keeps a smile on their face”
“Someone who studies diligently to keep growing”
웃음을 잃지 않으면서도 단단한 사람, 저는 참 좋은 동료와 일하고 있네요 😊
