An information portal containing "everything about the crowdfunding industry" is launching to support makers as they embark on and grow their crowdfunding campaigns.
Life Design funding platform Wadiz(www.wadiz.kr, CEO Shin Hye-seong) announced on the 16th that it has launched the “Maker Center,” a one-stop hub offering a wide range of content—from service guides and startup trends to practical know-how—for makers ranging from individual creators to small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations.
The Maker Center’s slogan, “Where Challenges Become Easier,” embodies Wadizvision of “creating a world where anyone can take on a challenge” and its ambition to systematically support the growth of makers. The platform focuses on providing timely information to makers preparing for funding, pre-orders, and store listings, and on helping them secure a competitive edge. Given the nature of the Wadiz platform, which operates with policies and services distinct from general e-commerce or open market distribution channels, the center was established to ensure the rapid and accurate delivery of information, which is essential for success.
The Maker Center operates a △Maker Support Services board that introduces △announcements and events—such as calls for various themed exhibitions, partnership benefits, service schedules, and transparency reports—which must be provided to makers in a timely manner, as well as services linking to funding, the store, and pre-orders. It also features the △Maker Guide, which provides answers to frequently asked questions, user guides, and helpful tips for each stage of preparing and running a funding campaign, as well as △Maker Stories, which offers insights from Wadiz success stories.
Wadiz,” which offers courses on writing funding stories, promotional and marketing strategies, and pre-order briefings; “Partner Services,” which connects makers with verified partners; and “Advertising Services,” designed to plan and execute funding campaigns, have been organized into a quick menu on the Maker Center’s main screen, significantly improving access to information.
Going forward, makers will be able to access previously scattered information about maker-related resources through a centralized channel, enabling them to utilize a variety of maker services and learn how to use these services effectively through quick and easy access to information.
Cha Jae-young, Director of the Maker Experience Team Wadiz, stated, “We designed a maker community where connection and communication come naturally, so that when the word ‘challenge’ comes to mind, people will naturally turn to the Maker Center.” He added, “We aim to evolve into a funding industry portal that provides all the information needed throughout a brand’s lifecycle—from service-related updates on funding, the store, and pre-orders to startup trends.”
Meanwhile, to coincide with the opening of the Maker Center Wadiz Wadiz has developed and is selling Wadiz official shipping kit, “Better Kit.” The kit includes packing tape, two types of stickers, and a thank-you card. It is designed to provide supporters who have waited patiently for their products with a joyful unboxing experience and a memorable brand interaction, accompanied by the message, “This product was made possible by your support.”
