EveryWadiz employee has one—a magic lamp. During their first month on the job, they carry it with them everywhere and rub it whenever they need help. Then, the genie pops right out.
You’ve probably figured out what the genie is, right?
We call Zingugi—who acts like a genie for new hires—"Zinie." Before a new Zingugi joins, we assign a Zinie to help them adjust to Wadiz for the first month. A Zinie is different from a work partner or mentor. While work partners and mentors provide professional guidance, a Zinie helps with getting settled into the company. You know how it is—figuring out where to get tissues, where the copier is, or who that person you keep running into is. These are small things, but they can be really confusing if you don’t know them.
What are Genie and Aladdin doing?
We’ve prepared a mission to help New Jin-guk and Genie get to know each other naturally and learn about Wadizsmoothly. The highlight of the Genie System: Genie Missions. Over the course of a month, New Jinguk works with Genie to complete one mission at a time, adapting to life Wadiz and getting to know their colleagues.

It feels like just yesterday that I was celebrating my acceptance, but I’ve already been with the company for a month. As I prepared to join the team and envisioned a bright future ahead, I reminded myself once again not to forget that initial passion!

I’m so happy our first mission with Aladdin was a success! 💗 I’ve learned a lot from Aladdin, who always gives his all to everything he does. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead with Aladdin now that he’s successfully completed his onboarding. Let’s do this together! (Genie Jin-guk)
The “Meeting Place” mission, where Genie introduced me to professionals from other departments Wadiz, was the most fun and something I looked forward to the most. In fact, the Meeting Place has been a huge help in my work! The Genie Mission was a wonderful experience because it made me feel truly cared for Wadiz🙂 (New Jinguk)
From current Genie employees to prospective Genie employees
As more and more new hires join us to share our vision, we’ve now reached our Nth Genie veteran. As the saying goes, experienced hires bring with them formidable know-how and seasoned expertise. We sat down with the Genie who holds the title for the most Genie experiences—having mentored a whopping six Aladdins—to hear her secrets and behind-the-scenes stories. All aspiring Genies, please pay close attention.
Do you have any special tips or tricks for successfully completing missions in Pro Genie?
It’s all about “meeting up.” The Genie Mission is well-organized, so as long as we can coordinate our schedules, it’s not difficult. However, since everyone is busy, we sometimes miss the mission deadline or end up completing the mission online. To help Aladdin adapt quickly, I put a lot of effort into the missions that required face-to-face interaction, such as meeting in person to communicate, exploring Wadiz and nearby areas, and introducing him to as many members of other teams as possible.
Is there a "go-to tip" you've always shared with Aladdin (New Jin-gook) up until now?
If you’re new to the tools we use Wadiz, I highly recommend reading our “Communication Guide,” which explains how to use them. If you’d like to get to know Jin-guk from another team, I also recommend joining one of our internal clubs. Here are a couple of tips: you can check the weekly cafeteria menu on Google Drive, and the lymphatic massage on our massage chairs feels refreshing without being too intense 😂
You must have thrown a whopping six successful parties! What did you do?
The Genie Mission success bonus was more than enough to celebrate together! Thanks to that, we enjoyed a hearty and delicious dinner at our recent Genie Mission after-party. It was even more memorable because we were joined by the pros from other teams who participated in Meeting Plaza*.

So far, we’ve heard about New Jin-guk and the story of Aladdin and the Genie. Of course, we can’t grant huge wishes like the Genie from the fairy tale *Aladdin and the Magic Lamp*. But for new hires, Wadiz and the Genie System are definitely just as reliable as the Genie from *Aladdin and the Magic Lamp*.
