EveryWadiz employee has one—a magic lamp. For the first month after joining the company, they carry it with them everywhere and rub it whenever they need help. Then, the genie pops right out.
You’ve probably figured out who the genie is, right?
We call Zingugi—who acts like a genie from a lamp for new hires—"Zinie." Before a new Zingugi joins, we assign a Zinie to help them adjust to Wadiz for the first month. A Zinie is different from a work partner or mentor. While work partners and mentors provide assistance with tasks, a Zinie helps with adjusting to life at the company. You know how it is—figuring out where to get tissues, where the copier is, or who that person you keep running into is. These are small things, but they can be really confusing if you don’t know them.
What are Genie and Aladdin doing?
We’ve prepared a mission to help New Jin-guk and Genie get to know each other naturally and learn about Wadizsmoothly. The highlight of the Genie System: Genie MissionsOver the course of a month, New Jin-guk works with Genie to complete one mission at a time, adapting to life Wadiz and getting to know their colleagues.

It feels like just yesterday that I was celebrating my acceptance, but I’ve already been with the company for a month. As I prepared to join the team and envisioned a bright future ahead, I reaffirmed my commitment to never lose sight of that initial passion!

I’m so happy our first mission with Aladdin was a success! 💗 I’ve learned a lot from Aladdin, who always gives his all to everything he does. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead with Aladdin now that he’s successfully completed his onboarding. Let’s do this together! (Genie Jin-guk)
The "Meeting Place" mission, where Genie introduced me to colleagues from other departments Wadiz, was the most fun and something I really looked forward to. In fact, the Meeting Place has actually been a big help in my work! The Genie Mission was a wonderful experience because it made me feel truly cared for Wadiz🙂 (New Jin-guk)
From an experienced Genie to a prospective Genie
As more and more new hires join us with a shared vision, we’ve now welcomed our Nth Genie veteran. As the saying goes, experienced hires bring formidable know-how and seasoned expertise. We sat down with the Genie who holds the title for the most Genie experience—having mentored a whopping six Aladdins—to hear her secrets and behind-the-scenes stories. All aspiring Genies, please pay close attention.
Do you have any special tips or tricks for successfully completing missions in Pro Genie?
It’s all about “meeting up.” The Genie mission is well-organized, so as long as we can coordinate our schedules, it’s not difficult. However, since everyone is busy, we sometimes miss the mission deadline or end up completing the mission online. To help Aladdin adapt quickly, I put a lot of effort into the missions that required in-person interaction, such as meeting face-to-face, exploring Wadiz and the surrounding area, and introducing him to as many members of other teams as possible.
Is there a "go-to tip" that you've always shared with Aladdin (New Jin-gook) up until now?
If you’re new to the work tools used Wadiz, I highly recommend reading the “Communication Guide,” which explains how to use them. If you’d like to get to know Jin-gook from another team, I also recommend joining one of our internal clubs. Here are a couple of tips: you can check the weekly cafeteria menu on Google Drive, and the lymphatic massage on the massage chairs feels refreshing without any pressure 😂
You must have thrown a whopping six successful parties! What did you do?
The Genie Mission success bonus was more than enough to celebrate together! Thanks to it, we enjoyed a hearty and delicious dinner at our recent Genie Mission after-party. It was especially memorable because we were joined by a professional from another team who also participated in Meeting Plaza*.

So far, we’ve heard about New Jin-guk and the story of Aladdin and the Genie. Of course, we can’t grant huge wishes like the Genie from the fairy tale *Aladdin and the Magic Lamp*. But for new hires, Wadiz and the Genie System are definitely just as reliable as the Genie from *Aladdin and the Magic Lamp*.
