For makers who don’t know where to go after their project ends, the Wadiz Store serves as a beacon of hope. We’re the team that marks the starting point the team that marks that starting point and blazes a new trail in the e-commerce market.
Today, we met with the Store Business Team, who are responsible for ensuring reliable post-launch distribution for Wadiz makers!
Hello, could you please introduce yourself?
Park Young-min: Hello. I’m Park Young-min from the Wadiz Store Business Team. Before joining Wadiz, I worked in the e-commerce sector at various brands and platform companies. I hope Wadiz Store can blaze a new trail in a commerce market where competition often boils down to identical products and prices. I’m really enjoying my work as I tackle each challenge one by one alongside my reliable teammates.
Moon Young-woo: Hello. I’m Moon Young-woo, a manager on the Store MD Team. Wadizis my third company, but my first startup experience. I’m always impressed when I meet makers who are committed to making a special impact on their supporters. I really enjoy my work listening to their stories.
Please tell us about your current role and team!
Park Young-min: The Wadiz Store is an online shopping service where you can purchase products that have been validated through crowdfunding and pre-order campaigns. Since these are direct purchases, you can receive your items quickly. The Store helps lower the psychological barriers that supporters may face with crowdfunding and pre-orders. For makers, it solves the challenge of finding new distribution channels after their projects conclude.
The Store Business Team consists of the Merchandising, Fulfillment, and Business Operations teams. We select high-quality products and manage the entire process, from onboarding new merchants to sales and shipping.
Moon Young-woo: The Store is a place where backers can experience products they’ve previously encountered through crowdfunding or pre-orders. For makers, it’s a place where they can grow their brands with the support of their backers.
As a Store MD, I’m responsible for deciding which products to feature in this unique e-commerce platform. They decide which products to sell, when to sell them, how many to stock, and at what price. Since they play a pivotal role in setting the store’s foundation, this is a very important position. It’s also a role that requires receiving a lot of support from colleagues and providing a lot of support to them in return.

How did you come to join Wadiz?
Park Young-min: I have a former colleagueWadiz. He recommended me to the company. He’s someone I trust, and one day, while treating me to a hamburger, he explained Wadizvision and the “Jinguk”* team members one by one. He also told me about their newly launched store business. It made me realize there were many new areas I could explore.
*Jinguk: Refers to Wadiz employees as " Wadiz"
To be honest, I hadn’t really considered changing jobs until then. But after meeting the CEO and the Vice President, I felt that I absolutely had to join Wadiz. They are people who are truly committed to making the world a better place. I also felt that there were clear areas where I could contribute. So I made a quick decision and joined the company.
Moon Young-woo: I was working as a merchandiser at a large corporation when, one day, I felt the urge to take on a new challenge. I felt I wanted to work in the online space rather than offline, and to gain experience across multiple categories rather than just one. Wadizwas the perfect place for that.
I’m a big fan of Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba. His vision is to help small business owners in his country expand into global markets. I believe Wadizis Wadiza great platform for capable, ambitious small business owners in our country to grow.
What are the most important skills and experience required for this role?
Park Young-min: Problem-solving skills are the most important. Wadiz, which is well-known for crowdfunding, the store is a new venture. We must continuously identify and address the needs of both supporters and makers. In this process, clearly defining the problem and proposing actionable solutions is key. I also believe that the ability to take action based on hypotheses is crucial.
If you enjoy taking on new challenges, or if you’ve ever felt a sense of accomplishment when you looked back and saw a path you’d carved out yourself, you’ll be a great fit for our team!

Do you have any personal convictions or principles that you always try to uphold at work?
Park Young-min, Pro: 5 Principles I most strongly relate to the second one: “We stay ahead by embracing the rapid currents of change.” The world is changing faster and faster. I believe we have a choice in how we embrace that change!
I believe that rather than constantly struggling against the waves of change, quickly building a surfboard and riding them out benefits both the team and the individual.🏄♂️
Moon Young-woo: Not being too afraid of failure and continuing to try. Sincerely cheering on your colleagues and helping them succeed in practical ways. I believe these two things are important.
I decided to join Wadizbecause I chose “challenge” over “stability.” Some people say that work is pointless in the grand scheme of life, but I believe there are certain attitudes and skills that can only be cultivated in a corporate environment. These qualities can have a positive impact on all aspects of life. I think the workplace is an ideal place to develop “grit”—the determination to keep trying even after failure, making small improvements along the way until you ultimately achieve your goal.
I can’t keep trying new things and facing setbacks on my own. I need the support of my colleagues. To receive that support, I must first become someone who can offer help to others. Just as I can’t be happy on my own if those around me aren’t happy, I believe that I can only grow if I grow together with my colleagues.

What kind of new colleagues would you like to work with in the future?
If you have any “personal tips for joiningWadiz” to share with those interestedWadiz, please let us know!
Park Young-min: I’d love to work with someone who lives and breathes trends! I’d love to work with someone who can offer diverse perspectives from a fresh angle. If you’re an MD, it would be even better if you have at least one area you’re passionate about and have expertise in.
Moon Young-woo: Someone who keeps going and seeking feedback even after failure! Someone who identifies problems and actively tries to propose solutions! Someone who can create synergy within the team! If you’re that kind of person, I believe I can learn a lot from you and work well together.
When I was considering a career change, I asked myself, “What kind of person do I want to be?” and “What kind of life do I want to live?” I chose a company that aligns with those answers. I think it’s a good idea to really think about whether the company’s values and your own values are a good fit 🤗
Wadizhas launched the Wadiz Store to support the ongoing sales of products and services from makers whose projects have been successful, and to enable backers to purchase products from successful projects!
