It’s finally my date day. Unlike usual, I’m heading out wearing slightly dressier clothes.
My destination is the Pangyo office. The office…? (It’s not a workplace romance.)
와디즈에서 <정오의 데이트 2탄>이 열렸습니다. 2022년 8월 진행한 <정오의 데이트>가 성원에 힘입어 다시 찾아왔어요!
A Noon Date
<진국이와 함께하는 정오의 데이트>는 다른 팀 진국이를 만나 이야기를 나누고, 서로 알아가며 즐거운 시간을 보내는 팀 대 팀 교류 활동이에요. 2022년 첫 데이트에서는 서로 다른 팀 진국이들이 하나의 팀을 이루어 함께 게임하고 서로와 팀을 알아가는 시간을 가졌어요.
It was a popular event with about 40 participants! I, Hong Jin-guk, took part too.
그렇게 1년이 흐르고… 그때 그 데이트의 달콤함이 그리운 진국이, 올해 와디즈에 합류해 데이트를 경험하지 못한 진국이를 위해 2023년 버전 <정오의 데이트 2탄>이 진행되었습니다.
A peek into a midday date ~
As the big day approached, teams matched through High-Performance Human Intelligence (a.k.a. Love Match) gathered at Wadiz cultural space, the “Culture Center.” As they took their seats at tables bearing their team names, the atmosphere was filled with both excitement and awkwardness—just as you’d expect from a “date.” So, what’s the first thing you need in a situation like this? Introductions!
With the guidance ofWadiz top MC and the Education & Culture Team Manager, the two teams came up with a single team name: “

And so, the names were born…

Advertising Business Team 💙 Success Support Team: AS (A team that supports one another)
Partners 💙 Financial Accounting Team: The "Pa-gye" Team (The "Destruction" Team...?)

Even though we share the same sky and the same space, when we’re busy working, we rarely have a chance to call anyone by name other than the colleague sitting next to us. Since this was a team-versus-team exchange activity, the first activity was a game designed to help us call each other by name and get to know one another.
When I called his name, he came to me and became my true Jin-gook 🌷
Once the initial awkwardness faded, a variety of team-building games followed, reflecting the diverse ages and interests of our group!
These included guessing the latest songs from their introes, identifying dad jokes, and guessing movies from partial posters. With several team members excelling in specific areas, the atmosphere at the team-building event, “Noon Data,” was electric! It was absolutely buzzing with excitement.

The gathering where the team came together the fall outing in 2022 ! It was a precious time when we were able to become “true colleagues” with coworkers we’d previously only exchanged brief nods with as we passed by.
