– Recognized as a model of innovation in flexible work environments and employee-centered organizational culture
– “It is meaningful because this achievement was created together with our members”
Crowdfunding Platform Wadizannounced that it has been selected as a “2024 Korea Work-Life Balance Excellence Company.”
The “Korea Work-Life Balance Excellence Award” is a program launched this year by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to recognize exemplary companies based on quantitative and qualitative indicators such as flexible work arrangements and work-life balance.
Wadizreceived high praise for supporting its employees’ work-life balance through various initiatives, including the introduction of flexible work arrangements, active encouragement of vacation use, and continuous improvements to work practices and culture. This award is particularly significant because it recognizes the company’s success in simultaneously increasing employee satisfaction and work efficiency.
In particular, Wadizhas introduced a "flexible work schedule" system to help employees adjust their start and end times flexibly to suit their personal lives. The company implements various programs that go beyond legal requirements, such as providing refreshment leave to long-serving employees.
In addition, a culture designed to strengthen communication among employees is taking root. We hold a monthly company-wide town hall meeting called the “Impact Forum,” and we listen to and incorporate employee feedback through quarterly one-on-one meetings and organizational engagement surveys to continuously improve our organizational culture.
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, “Being named a ‘Company of Excellence in Work-Life Balance’ is particularly meaningful because it is an achievement we have built together with our employees,” adding, “We will continue to create a work environment where Wadiz employees can work more happily and efficiently.”
Meanwhile, prior to this selection, Wadizwas named a “2019 Gyeonggi Province Outstanding Employer” and recognized as a prime example of a startup that has built an innovative organizational culture centered on its employees.
