Life design crowdfunding Wadizannounced on the 4th that its "Blackbird" event—featuring the year’s biggest rewards—concluded with record-breaking results, achieving a 205% increase in average transaction volume per project and transaction volumes 2.5 times higher than the daily average.

Wadiz Blackbird is WadizBlack Friday event, which brings together the year’s best deals. Wadiztypically offers new products and services at “early bird” prices throughout the year for its crowdfunding and pre-order projects, and has been holding this event during the November shopping season since last year.

Now in its second year, the event ran for five days during the fourth week of November. It was a resounding success, with the number of participating brands and products increasing by 174% compared to the previous year and the number of new subscribers rising by more than 24%.

Wadizattributed its success to the fact that, unlike the market for daily necessities—where competition is centered on the lowest prices amid high interest rates and sluggish consumer spending—it has attracted supporters seeking to make sensible purchases, focusing on unique products that add new value to everyday life, which has led to an increase in the average transaction amount.

This event achieved remarkable results, even when compared to the transaction volume in October—the most successful month of the year—duringWadiza monthly promotion held Wadizon the third week of each month. The number of transactions increased by 1.8 times, and the total transaction value rose by 2.5 times.

The category with the highest number of transactions and total sales was tech and home appliances, accounting for 34% of all products. Home and living came in second with 25%, while beauty—which was the top category during last year’s Blackbird event—ranked third.

Small winter appliances, led by products such as the "heated humidifier" released in limited quantities this year, gained popularity and drove growth in the category.

Another key factor in the success of this year’s Blackbird was the decision to categorize popular items into five themes—New Tech, Outdoor, Sweet Home, Style, and Hobby—and release them daily, reflecting users’ tendency to browse based on their personal preferences. As a result, the number of notification requests—which indicates interest in each project—increased by 44% compared to the same event last year.

A Wadiz representative said, “The biggest factor in our success was introducing the year’s biggest deals to allow Wadiz users, who prefer a discovery-based experience, to explore a wide variety of brands,” adding, “Given the tremendous interest and anticipation we’ve received, we will continue to launch various events in collaboration with brands that have earned the support of our backers.”
