Funding Store Platform Wadiz has been named to the Financial Times' (FT) 'Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies 2025' list. This honor marks Wadiz's fourth consecutive year on the list, having been selected for three straight years from 2020 to 2022.
The FT High Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2025 is an annual ranking of the 500 fastest-growing companies across 14 countries in Asia-Pacific, published by the Financial Times and global research firm Statista, and is now in its seventh year.
This year, the survey focused on companies with at least $100,000 in revenue in 2020 and at least $1 million in revenue in 2023, and the top 500 were ranked by revenue growth.
Wadiz was ranked 45th in fintech with a 75.8% revenue increase from 2020 to 2023 and a 20% compound annual growth rate.
Wadiz has expanded its services from crowdfunding to pre-order, store, and other distribution areas, supporting "makers" who are taking on new challenges and making a difference in everyday life. The number of makers starting a business or launching a new product through Wadiz has steadily increased, and to date, Wadiz has brokered more than 80,000 projects and raised more than KRW 1.3 trillion.
In particular, last year, the average amount of money raised by supporters participating in funding exceeded KRW 130,000, an increase of 110% in six years, demonstrating the platform's high growth.
THIS RAPID RAMP-UP OF FUNDING HAS RESULTED IN STRONG GROWTH AND IMPROVED PROFITABILITY. AFTER POSTING ITS FIRST MONTHLY OPERATING PROFIT IN NOVEMBER 2023, THE COMPANY ACHIEVED POSITIVE EBITDA IN THE SECOND QUARTER AND OPERATING PROFIT IN THE THIRD QUARTER.
"For over a decade, we've been building a funding ecosystem in Korea where small and medium-sized enterprises can thrive and new brands can be born," said Hyesung Shin, CEO of Wadiz. "To help more dreamers create new revenue and opportunities, Wadiz is now looking beyond Korea."
Meanwhile, Wadiz, a pioneer in the Korean crowdfunding industry, is accelerating its global expansion. With the goal of launching the 'Wadiz Global Service' in May, the company is currently recruiting global funding makers. Wadiz Global Service will connect domestic makers (brands and companies) with overseas customers, enabling makers and brands on Wadiz to expand beyond the domestic market.
Funding makers will be able to easily and effortlessly launch global projects the same way they have been able to fund and pre-order projects Wadiz. Wadiz plans to launch the web-based service in the first half of the year, with an application version to follow.
