Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) has announced that "practicality, premium quality, and health" are this year’s Chuseok gift trends.
An analysis of data Wadiz “Autumn Harvest Warehouse” campaign revealed a clear trend among consumers toward △reasonable prices, △wellness-focused products, and △unique premium experiences.
Wadizis showcasing Chuseok gift-themed projects across various sectors, including food, beauty, and tech, through September 17. In particular, the platform is gaining popularity among savvy consumers looking to prepare their gifts early thanks to its “early bird” benefits.
By category, Beauty accounted for the largest share of funding (30%), followed by Food (28%) andTech/Home Appliances(13%).
In the beauty category, home beauty devices accounted for the largest share, representing 74% of the total funding amount. Notably, “Sharaps” launched a beauty device that delivers ingredients deep into the skin without needles, exclusively on Wadiz. Offered at half the regular price as an early bird benefit, it was chosen by supporters seeking “affordable luxury.”
In the food category, wellness foods accounted for the largest share at 57%. Premium traditional Korean herbal foods, in particular, stood out. “Century-Old Cultivated Wild Ginseng,” cultivated using the DNA of 120-year-old wild ginseng, surpassed 300 million won in funding within just three days of its launch, while “Cornus Shot,” developed by a licensed herbalist, also raised over 30 million won.
In the tech and home appliance sector, the “AI Smart Ring” is attracting significant attention. This product allows users to monitor their personal health data in real time with a single ring, and pre-registrations for its crowdfunding campaign—set to launch on the 12th—have already surpassed 8,000. This reflects the growing demand from consumers who prioritize wellness.
A Wadiz spokesperson said, “The trend of holiday spending splitting between value-driven and premium options is becoming even more pronounced amid the current economic climate,” adding, “Amid these changes,Wadizwill enhance the competitiveness of makers’ products and provide supporters with a unique gifting experience.”
