Crowdfunding Platform Wadizannounced that it has been selected for the Financial Times (FT)’s “2025 Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies” list. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Wadizhas been selected, following its inclusion for three consecutive years from 2020 to 2022.
The "FT High Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2025" ranking is published annually by the Financial Times and Statista, a global research firm, which surveys and ranks the 500 companies with the highest growth rates across 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region; this year marks the seventh edition of the ranking.
This year’s survey targeted companies with 2020 revenue of at least $100,000 and 2023 revenue of at least $1 million, and the top 500 were selected based on revenue growth rate.
Wadizwas ranked 45th in the fintech sector, having recorded a 75.8% increase in revenue from 2020 to 2023 and an average annual growth rate of 20%.
Starting with crowdfunding, Wadizhas expanded its services into distribution channels such as pre-orders and online stores, supporting “makers” who are creating changes in everyday life through new challenges. The number of makers launching businesses or new products through Wadizhas been steadily increasing; to date, the platform has facilitated over 80,000 projects and successfully raised more than 1.3 trillion won in funding.
In particular, last year, the average single contribution from supporters exceeded 130,000 won, marking a 110% increase over the past six years and demonstrating the platform’s strong growth potential.
As funding volumes grew rapidly in this way, the company achieved both solid growth and improved profitability. Following its first monthly operating profit in November 2023, the company posted an EBITDA profit in the second quarter and an operating profit in the third quarter.
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, “For over a decade, we have been building a Korean funding ecosystem where small and medium-sized enterprises can thrive and new brands can emerge,” adding, “To enable more dreamers to generate new revenue and opportunities, Wadizis now expanding beyond Korea to the global market.”
Meanwhile, Wadiz, a pioneer in the domestic crowdfunding industry, is accelerating its global expansion. With the goal of launchingWadiz Global Service” this May, the company is currently recruiting global funding makers. Wadiz Global Service connects domestic makers (brands and companies) with international customers, helping makers and brands active Wadizexpand beyond the domestic market into overseas markets.
