Wadizis a wholly-owned subsidiary Wadizestablished to support the sustainable growth of early-stage companies whose potential has been validated through funding. It operates services for brand scaling, including annual funding planning and marketing strategy execution, targeting promising makers. By selecting a subscription plan, Wadiz provides consulting and partially handles operations to achieve business goals through Wadiz channels. The subscription fee includes the funding platform listing fee, as well as costs for all marketing activities such as detailed page planning, Wadizinternal and external advertising, and special promotions.
The CEO position is held by Hwang In-beom, former CBO Wadiz. As an early founding member Wadiz, Hwang established and grew the funding sales organization and successfully launched new ventures such as Space Wadiz and Wadiz Store.
Wadiz Inc., the parent company, was established in 2012 and has led Korea's largest crowdfunding platform, Wadiz, for a decade, building the funding ecosystem. Over 54,000 projects have been launched cumulatively, with more than 1,000 new projects running monthly on average. Over 25,000 teams have conducted funding campaigns at least once. Wadizdecided to invest in the new entity to help and grow alongside small and medium-sized brands that face difficulties scaling their businesses due to a lack of internal personnel or marketing know-how, despite the abundance of promising early-stage companies.
While Wadizhas focused on enabling startups and SMEs needing funding to launch their businesses and enter the funding ecosystem, Wadizaims to become an 'incubation partner' that supports scaling up for sustainable growth and formalizes a model of growing alongside Wadiz.
To this end, the company will collaborate with its parent company Wadiz, which operates a funding platform, and its venture capital (VC) subsidiary Wadiz. The plan is to provide brand incubation services to makers who have experience with successful funding campaigns, specifically those who have received investment from Wadizor are seeking investment.
WadizCEO Hwang In-beom stated, "We have supported and witnessed the growth of small brands that started their businesses through crowdfunding." He added, "Based on our accumulated success and expertise, we will actively seek out brands capable of creating strategic synergies and become a scale-up partner for makers."
