Wadiz: Revenue Growth and Improved Profitability

WadizWadiz has significantly improved its operating cash flow for 2024, raising expectations that it will achieve an annual profit this year.

Wadizannounced on the 2nd that it has shifted to profitability-driven growth, achieving an operating profit in the fourth quarter of 2024 and improving its EBITDA by 96%.

Wadizrevenue for 2024 was 43.2 billion won, a 9% increase from the previous year, while its operating loss was 7.2 billion won, a 58% decrease from the previous year.

In particular, cash flow from operating activities improved significantly. Cash flow from operating activities, excluding non-cash expenses such as depreciation and impairment losses, recorded a net inflow of 2 billion won last year, marking a significant improvement with an increase of 13.9 billion won compared to the previous year.

Wadizimproved performance in 2024 was largely driven by the optimization of its business portfolio, cost reductions, and the automation of work processes and productivity innovations achieved through the adoption of generative AI.

Building on revenue from its flagship crowdfunding service, the company demonstrated balanced growth across new business areas such as advertising and direct sales. In particular, the advertising business grew by 40% year-over-year, contributing significantly to revenue expansion. This growth was driven by the steady increase in usage of advertising services—such as Wadiz Ad Center and Biz Center—which support efficient marketing and have helped boost sales for creators.

Direct sales at our stores also increased by 17% year-over-year, establishing themselves as a new revenue stream. This year, as sales ofWadiz ”—a product line developed based on customer feedback—begin to show tangible results, we expect the share of direct sales to grow even further.

Wadizis now preparing to expand beyond its role as a leading domestic company and become a global platform. With the goal of launching its global service this May, the company plans to introduce its “K-Funding Export Service,” which is aimed at the North American market.

The company aims to take its first steps into the global market as Asia’s leading crowdfunding platform by identifying promising brands, particularly in East Asia—including Japan and China—and building a lineup of innovative Asian products.

Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, “In 2024, we successfully restructured the company to achieve profitability through cost reductions and operational innovations, and we are now fully prepared to accelerate our growth.” He added, “We will make 2025 a year of significant growth by entering overseas markets alongside domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and emerging brands to showcase the competitiveness of K-funding.”

Meanwhile, Wadizis currently conducting a rights offering to accelerate its growth momentum and plans to complete the process in the first half of 2025. Following the achievement of an annual profit in 2025, the company plans to pursue an IPO in 2026.
