In this installment, we'll talk about how AI is actually changing funding for the better, with a focus on AI vetting to reduce the wait time for makers to get their projects reviewed, and AI vetting to connect with global supporters by breaking down language barriers.

Less Wait, More Trust AI vetting

In November of last year, Wadizintroduced an "AI vetting" feature that allows AI to automatically review project stories and provide feedback.

AI review is available directly from the story creation screen in Maker Studio, and you can request up to five reviews per project.

AI analyzes your project story to detect language that doesn't meet ad review standards in real-time and alerts you to areas that need to be fixed, so you can make changes immediately without waiting for a review, speeding up the review process.

What used to take an average of four days or more for human reviewers has been reduced to less than a day, and AI review is now used by 8 out of 10 makers.

In addition to faster approvals, this feature is also improving the fairness and consistency of reviews.

Yoojin Kim, a professional in the Trust and Safety team in charge of AI vetting, said.

"The purpose of AI review is not just to speed up the process, but to reduce the wait time for makers, so that human reviewers can focus more on verifying and refining their findings because the AI is the first to review on an unbiased basis."

Currently, AI vetting is around 85% accurate, and we're working to improve it, particularly to reduce unnecessary sanctions.

Yukyoung Cho (L) and Yujin Kim (R) from the Trust and Safety team

"In the early days, there were instances of over-screening where the AI didn't understand the sentence in context and misidentified words or sentences that were actually fine.

Now, we're continuing to improve these practices and evolve our technology to help makers get reviewed faster and fairer. It's all aboutmaking it easier for makers."

In the future, Kim says he hopes to make AI vetting a mandatory process that all projects automatically go through, creating an environment where everyone can open up funding fairly and correctly.

From text to images, global funding made easy with AI translation

Wadizofficially opened its global service in September last year, allowing domestic makers to reach supporters around the world without having to go through a separate translation process.

A key part of this process is the AI translation feature.

At its core, AI translation is all about automatically translatingnot only the title and body text of your project, but also the phrases contained in the featured and detailed images in your story.

This means that the AI will recognize the text and translate it into the language without you having to edit or redesign the image!

We now support automatic translation into three languages - English, Japanese, and Chinese - so you can open global funding.

The AI trims sentences to natural language based on the national language and adjusts words to fit the context, making it easier for global supporters to read.

Let's take the funding project below as an example.

Funding details page written by the maker [link

AI translation automatically translated the funding page (Chinese) and even the text in the images.

Even the text in story images is automatically translated, making it much more efficient for makers to create content.

This has significantly reduced the time and cost of translations, helped us maintain consistency in translation quality, and reduced the time it takes to go global.

Going deeper and wider, what's next for AI translation?

Currently, Wadizis in the process of upgrading its technology to further improve the quality of image translation to match the performance of AI translation.

The goal is to create a visually pleasing translation that is not only natural in its text, but also in its font, placement, and readability.

We're also planning to significantly expand support to translate not only still images, but also GIFs and text in video.

We're making sure that global makers and supporters can communicate on one screen without language barriers, rather than on separate translated pages.

WAi to be your partner in analyzing data and suggesting stories

'Data Agent' feature coming this year - I can talk to WAi and see my funding status and funnel at a glance.

WAi will now go beyond simply answering questions or helping with translations, and will take its capabilities a step further to become a partner that analyzes makers' data and suggests stories.

Coming this year is Data Agent, a feature that allows you to ask WAi directly for data and get real-time results and analytics insights, so you can understand your funding status and funnel at a glance without having to look at complicated dashboards.

We're also working on Story Agent, a feature that automatically drafts a funding story based on the maker's ideas and product information.

We'll make the process of writing your funding story easier by suggesting sentence and section structures that align with your product's features, value, and target audience.

Making Maker's challenges lighter, WadizAI continues to play a role!

Wadizisn't advancing AI just to revolutionize the technology, butto make it easier and faster for makersto get funded.

That's essentially how Wadizsees AI: letting AI do the heavy lifting so makers can focus on creating and growing.

WadizAI will always be by your side when your maker challenges become easier 🙂 .
