Wadiz in-house clubs, with participation from over a third of the company’s employees. Earlier, we introduced three clubs that exude the scent of art.
The flower arranging club “Hwatu,” the music clubWadiz Group Sound,” and the art club “Wanadu” are the stars of the show. If you haven’t seen them yet… it’s not too late! Go check them out right now. You’ll find yourself feeling the urge to get creative.
The weather has turned crisp and cool. It’s the perfect weather for getting active. In this section, we’ll introduce some sports clubs that will inspire you to get moving. With these clubs, our company’s arts and sports scene will come together in no time.
Soccer ClubWadiz FC’

Check the boxes next to the items that make you think, “Wait, that’s me!” How many did you check?
First off, Wadiz FC members must check number 3. Every Thursday morning at 8 a.m., before work, we all head to a nearby futsal court to work up a sweat together. It says “scary,” but isn’t the hidden meaning really “envious”? After all, it’s the textbook definition of the “God-like life” everyone wants!
Wadiz FC is a soccer club with a long-standing tradition dating back to 2017. It all started with the sense of camaraderie that comes from playing sports together—a feeling quite different from the camaraderie you experience at work!
A group of like-minded colleagues would get together once a week for a quick morning game of futsal to warm up. When the company’s club system was established, this gathering officially became the soccer club.
Even though it takes passion to fight off sleep and get up early, many members continue to support Wadiz FC. When asked what the secret is, Jin-gook, the operations manager, replied, “Leisure.” He thinks people might turn to futsal to carve out a moment of leisure amidst their hectic daily lives 🌿
Just to give you an idea of how amazing Wadiz is, one of our members actually went on a training camp to Jeju Island on their own. Wadiz FC is currently dreaming of an even bigger training camp—all the way to Guam! (Guam, really?! So where can I sign up?)

The Wadiz FC members look so excited and happy!
The energy and sweat evident in Wadiz ’s activity photos speak volumes about how passionate the members are about futsal and the club. Wadiz FC says Guam is on their wish list, and they’re hoping to take a soccer trip to Jeju Island someday. (Jin-gook from Operations says he loves you!) Judging by that enthusiasm… I expect I’ll be working soon!

Wadiz FC’s passion knows no bounds!
Golf Club ‘Buddywa’
Golf is a trend that’s loved by people of all ages. Back in 2019, trend-setter Wadizhad a golf club. Why do I say “had”? Because Wadiz golf club, “Buddywa,” has a story of revival.
As COVID-19 brought all gatherings to a standstill, the 2019 golf club naturally disbanded. The members simply went about their daily lives, keeping their love for golf and their skills to themselves while working hard.
WadongsoWith the launch of the Wadiz High-End Community Club “Buddywa,” the green light was given for in-house club activities. Jin-gook, the operations manager who had been diligently learning golf, thought it would be great to improve his skills alongside others like him. By bringing together existing members who had been scattered and recruiting new members, the golf club was relaunched as Wadiz High-End Community Club “Buddywa.”

Buddywa—a genuine community club where men, women, seniors, and juniors all enjoy themselves together.
(We briefly took off our masks for the photo. These members always follow health and safety guidelines wherever they go 👍)
A “high-end community” club? I was a little puzzled. When I first met Jin-gook, the manager at Buddywa, this is how he described the club. A community club, not a golf club…?
Jin-guk, the operations manager, believes that the essence of golf lies in its “community” aspect. This is because four people form a group and work together, cheering each other on as they make their way through the 18-hole course. He says this sense of community is what makes golf so appealing. You can get to know each other while walking and chatting during the round!
Buddywa’s goal is to help you get to know Jin-gook and others with diverse roles and personalities through club activities and build a close-knit community.

That's cool 😍

I can hear the "Good shot!" cheers from the Buddywa members all the way over here!
Once a month, the BuddyWA team gets together after work to play a round at a nearby indoor golf facility. Just like any good community club, we enjoy some great food, chat, and keep the atmosphere warm and friendly 😉
I hear they’re also planning to include on-course rounds and the “W Golf League” tournament in their future activities. With these new additions, I’m really looking forward to seeing the community activities become even more vibrant.

I'm so disappointed 😥 I'm really upset too
Stretching Club "Wadiz Stretching Program (WASP)"
Every week at lunchtime, you can see Jin-gu residents heading to the Culture Center dressed in comfortable clothes and carrying yoga mats. If you follow them, you’ll find them stretching out their bodies. This is theWadiz Stretching Program” (hereinafter referred to as WASP), a stretching club.
WASP has had the largest membership ever, both during the first generation of clubs before the pandemic and now. It has enough members to fill three entire classes. (Actually, I’m a member of WASP, too.)
Jin-gook, the operations manager, cited the secret to Wasp’s popularity as the fact that “you can participate casually without feeling pressured, while still maintaining your physical balance.” “Taking a moment to pause and care for your body, which you might have neglected while focusing on work”—isn’t that the appeal of Wasp?
Although I have to give up my lunch break—a major source of joy for office workers—there are so many other things that make up for it. Once you discover the true “pleasure” of deep breaths, a clear mind, and a light body, you’ll look forward to Wasp time every week.

Stretching time with Instructor Woo-jin! It must be my imagination that just watching this makes me feel refreshed, right?
I’ve been participating in WASP with my instructor since 2019. As a result, the program offers a wide variety of activities—from band exercises to yoga balls and yoga rings. Thanks to this, I’ve been able to experience new ways of relaxing and releasing tension through diverse movements. In particular, the yoga ring I bought years ago with the intention of stretching out but ended up just sitting around as a decoration is finally serving its purpose! It’s all thanks to the club, where I learned how to use it properly 😂
We recently held a special “singing bowl” class. In today’s fast-paced society, where we’re constantly on edge, relaxation is essential for maintaining a healthy body and mind and for moving forward. This class reminded WASP members, who are exhausted from work, of the importance of rest and recovery, and provided them with a brief opportunity to do just that.

Teacher Jihoo, who was specially invited to teach the singing bowl class!

Actually, I was asleep…
Dayone week, one hour a week, every WASP helps us all get healthier together. I think WASP is a real asset to both employees and the company—a true gem of a club 😉

WASP is hard at work!
Following the art club introduced in the previous chapter, we now have a sports club as well. Wadizis home to so many wonderful people who know how to take care of themselves and their colleagues through a variety of hobbies. It made me wonder if the saying that “colleagues are the best benefit” is becoming even more meaningful in this kind of culture.
As I got to know the various clubs, I thought I could sum upWadiz employee clubs with the phrase, “Arts and sports,” but… one day, a formidable club announced its arrival like a comet.

I can't believe such a cool guy like Jin-gook was right by my side!
With a total of seven years of international experience, nearly two years as an English speaking instructor, and a perfect TOEIC score, Jin-gook has started recruiting members for an English club. If the club gets officially registered, Wadiz in-house clubs will become even more well-rounded—covering intellect, character, and physical fitness 😎
I’m really looking forward to the club culture becoming even more diverse with the addition of various new clubs!
