Electrical applianceslike fans must have KC certification. KC certification is a national safety standard that verifies a product’s safety. Only products that have passed product and factory inspections and been confirmed safe are allowed to display the KC certification mark. This means that if you see the KC certification mark on a product or its packaging, you can use it with confidence!

There are several types of KC certification. For electric fans, the primary requirements are Radio Certification (for broadcasting and telecommunications equipment), which falls under the Radio Act, and Electrical Appliance Safety Certification, which falls under the Electrical Appliance Safety Control Act. Even for the same type of electric fan, the required KC certification varies slightly depending on whether it is a corded or cordless model. First, both types require a Certificate of Conformity for broadcasting and telecommunications equipment, which is the Radio Certification for the “product” itself.
The difference lies in the electrical safety certification. Wired productsrequire electrical safety certification for the "product" itself, while wireless productsrequire electrical safety certification for the "battery." (Since wireless fans require a battery.)
So, where can you check for KC certification? Wadiz, we inform makers during the project review stage so they can let supporters know whether their project has KC certification on the project page.
Thanks to this, you can find the KC certification information in the reward details section under the "Refunds & Policies" tab of the project. If this section is empty, you can also check the story.
