Dates are often called a gift from God, so let me tell you a little more about Batil Dates.
Dates are the fruit of the palm tree mentioned in the Bible. They’re similar to jujubes, but they come from a completely different plant! Grown under the intense Middle Eastern sun, dates have a rich, luxurious sweetness and a chewy, addictive texture.
I hear that Batildayts actually supplies products to the royal families of Mansour and Bin Salman. At this point, aren’t you just dying to know what it tastes like? I certainly was 🤤
Batildates with a heavenly texture?
If it’s so delicious that you wouldn’t even notice if one of you died while eating it, then taste is what matters most, right?
Batildates (Cassandra Rectangle Small) comes in five varieties. You can choose from roasted almonds, caramelized pecans, caramelized cashews, pistachios, and orange peel—it’s great that there’s something for everyone.
As the "Munchy Doctor" at the crowdfunding event, I sampled all the different varieties 🐷
Roasted almonds
A flavor that stays true to the original taste. This flavor really let the chewy texture of the dates shine through, and the crunchy almonds kept things interesting🤍
Caramelized Pecans / Cashews
The one on the left is a pecan, and the one on the right is a cashew. The pecans and cashews inside the dates were sweet—almost like picking out the darkest-colored popcorn at the movie theater—and their texture was more than just crunchy.
The cashews tasted a bit like coffee-flavored peanuts. It’s the kind of snack you just can’t help reaching for—you take one, then another, and before you know it, the whole bag is gone.
Pistachio
Crunch—not just a single pistachio, but a pistachio with a satisfyingly firm bite. The pistachios were coated so evenly that they had a texture that was more “firm” than “hard,” which made them a perfect match. Chewy + firm = a match made in heaven 💚
Orange Peel
Orange Peel Dates, where the tangy, refreshing flavor of the orange stands out more than the sweetness of the sugar. I think the combination of the crisp, chewy orange peel and the soft, sticky dates creates a flavor that truly embodies the essence of a dessert.
So, Batildayts...
I’ll be honest. When I first tried Batildayts, I was like, “Huh? What is this?” I was totally confused. It was a texture and flavor I’d never experienced before in my life. Rather than saying it was “good” or “bad,” my first reaction was, “This is so weird…!” It was an exotic flavor I’d never tasted before—something you just can’t find in Korea. But strangely enough, the next day, I found myself thinking about it over and over again. You little rascal 😎
To put it simply, it’s a flavor that keeps coming back to you. I always find myself thinking about it the very next day. It’s just like mala tang or Pyeongyang naengmyeon—dishes that tend to be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of thing, yet they also have a dedicated following.
Gone in a flash—the Batildates sold out in just one day
Rather than a dish with a bold, punchy flavor that hits the spot, I thought of it as a dessert that really shines through its texture and subtle nuances. That was the moment I realized, "So this is what a high-end dessert is like."
The amazing thing is that even though it’s so sweet, it’s free of additives and sugar and made from 100% dates. I think it’s a great way for health-conscious people to satisfy their sweet tooth.
