Funding Store Platform Wadizannounced that its CEO Hye-Sung Shin attended BEYOND Expo 2025 in Macau from May 21 to 24 as a representative speaker for Korean crowdfunding and shared his strategy for going global.
Now in its fifth year, BeyondExpo is Asia's largest technology and innovation expo, launched in 2021 and held annually at the Venetian Macao Cotai Expo in Macau. This year's event attracted more than 30,000 attendees from global innovation companies and featured more than 300 speakers.
The theme of the 2025 event is "Unveiling Possibilities," a call to turn uncertainty into opportunity and explore endless possibilities.
This year, the BEYOND BGlobal Network, a program for Asian companies to expand into overseas markets, was established to connect and strategize with global partners.
On May 22, Wadiz CEO Hye Sung Shin participated as a panelist from Korea at the BGlobal Summit session on "The Role of Crowdfunding for Global Expansion of Asian Companies". The session featured speakers from leading Asian crowdfunding platforms who shared their experiences and insights.
Speakers included Cheryl Tang, Head of Asia Pacific at Indiegogo, Ryotaro Nakayama, CEO of Makuake in Japan, and Ryo Umezawa, Co-Founder of Vector.
The speakers shared their strategies and success stories of using crowdfunding to go global, emphasizing the potential of crowdfunding for Asian companies to acquire early customers and build brand awareness. Mr. Shin's participation was noted as an example of the interest and willingness of Korean companies to expand globally.
On the 23rd, Hyesung Shin gave a solo presentation on "Beyond Korea: Crowdfunding Without Borders".
