Planning Notes introduces the planning process behind everything Wadizcreates, following the five Ws and one H.
If you’re curious about the thought process behind creating impact, be sure to check this out! Planning Notes, filled to the brim with thoughtful consideration and sincerity—we’re writing it down right now✍
Let’s say you have to watch a video that’s about four minutes long. How many of you would actually watch it without speeding it up or skipping ahead? The shorter it is, the more people watch it—we’re now in the age of short-form content!
Wadizis getting into short-form content Wadiz. But why? Just to follow the trend? Today, we’ll be chatting with two short-form content planners and producers. Let’s get started!
Please introduce yourself!
😆 Mune Hello! I’m Mune, a Content Producer on the Media Content Team. I plan and produce media content under the Wadiz brand. I’m in charge of “Wadiz Ranking Shorts,” whichshowcases Wadizpopular projects. I handle everything from planning to production.
😊 Siru Hi, I’m Siru, and I work as a brand planner! My main responsibilities include creating and managing both tangible and intangible brand assets, including Wadiz owned media. Planning and running “Project Short Form”is one of those tasks.

Is W-Ranking a program that ranks things?
😆 Mune That’s right, “W-Ranking” is short forWadiz.” It’s a video series that ranks popular funding and store projects based onWadizdata. I know it’s a pretty obvious name for a series, but since it’s short-form content, I went with something very intuitive. No excuses. (Laughs)
So, what kind of content is "Project Short Form"?
😊 Siru Simply put, this is content that introduces attractive Wadiz funding products (including pre-orders and store items) in a short-form format. It covers topics that supporters might be curious about, such as summaries of the product’skey features, usage instructions, or real-life reviews.

Although the format is short-form, it seems like the purpose is different.
I’m curious about why you decided to create it.
😆 Mune Wadizis a platform that makes you want to browse around and ask, “What fun stuff is out there these days?” even when you don’t need anything right now. (That’s how my wishlist keeps growing… Watch your wallet!)
It’s the calling of content creators to “benefit the world through content,” but I can’t be the only one who knows about these diverse and fun projects, right? We created this to quickly showcase these exciting projects so thatWadiz popular crowdfunding campaigns can be discovered even outside of Wadiz.
😊 Siru The same goes for the short-form content I’m planning. While running our owned media channels, I was always thinking about how to best promote our various projects. In particular, I felt a strong sense of regret because static images or text alone couldn’t fully convey the appeal of our products. That’s why I decided to create short videos.
So you used a short video to ease your disappointment!
😊 Siru As a content planner, I’ve always struggled with how to confidently introduce a project and convince people to join—specifically, how to clearly demonstrate why the product is appealing and how it can satisfy their needs and solve their problems. The solution to that is short-form content.
Why is short-form content the solution?
😊 Siru I think the message we want to convey remains the same, but the way we deliver it needs to constantly evolve. After all, the way people consume content is always changing. In that sense, choosing the short-form format might have been inevitable.
Did Waling also start with short-form content from a consumer perspective?
😆 Mune takes a slightly different approach. Funding and pre-order campaigns usually have a fixed duration of one to two weeks. It’s crucial to produce and deliver videos that capture the moment. The key is to create them quickly. That’s why we came up with the idea of “turning the story (product page) into a video.” You can plan and produce it right from your desk. Short-form video is a format that satisfies both timeliness and production efficiency. That aspect worked perfectly with crowdfunding and pre-orders, which open and close quickly. From the perspective of viewers and supporters, it’s also a highly cost-effective format that lets them quickly absorb a lot of information!
😊 Siru That’s right! These days, it seems like a lot of people prioritize efficiency. That’s probably why most people enjoy short-form content. They get a lot of information and enjoyment from it. Short-form content started as a form of experimentation. We kept refining it while gauging the response. Form always observes and follows the trends. Instead, we try things out and experiment quickly. Now, we’ve reached a point where we can reliably plan and produce a wide variety of content.

Since these two short-form videos serve different purposes, I imagine they’re aimed at different audiences. Who are these short-form videos intended for?
😊 Siru, my "Project Short-Form" series is content designed for anyoneinterested in projects. I’d be thrilled if you found these short videos—which highlight fresh, inspiring projects discovered in everyday life—relatable and entertaining. And if the projects I introduce prove helpful, that would be even better!
😆 Mune Waranking was originally targeted potential customers outside of Wadiz. The goal was to entice them by saying,“There are so many fun thingsWadiz—why don’t you come check it out?” However, with therecent additionof video features toWadiz, this contentis now being exposed to Wadiz as well. Supporters who log in wondering, “Is there anything fun?” can now see the W-Ranking and think, “Oh! So this is what’s popular these days?” and check out the projects.

Since W-Ranking creates content based on data, it feels trustworthy.
😆 Mune, you're right. We rank projects based on reliable internal data—like notification sign-ups, sales, and satisfaction scores—that we extract ourselves. Since crowdfunding is an unfamiliar consumer experience for many, I thought it would be difficult to convince the general public with simple recommendations alone . I believed that projects which many supporters find interesting would also pique the curiosity of those who are new to crowdfunding. You can think of the projects featured on WaRanking as having been vetted by Wadiz supporters!
So, does that mean any project that ranks high will automatically be featured?
😆 Mune Not exactly! We select projects based on our own criteria. We have a channel on our internal messenger dedicated to monitoring funding projects. This is where we review reports submitted by supporters. After selecting the top projects, we checkthe monitoring channel to see if there are any reports or negative comments regarding those projects. Only after reviewing the news and reviews and determining that there are no issues will a project be featured on WaRanking.
So, how is Project Shortform created?
😊 Siru From the countless projects launched every week, I work with my team to personally identify the ones best suited for short-form content. Once selected, we explain our creative vision to the maker and receive video footage or the actual product. Next, after carefully reviewing the project story, materials, and the actual product, we identify points that will pique our supporters’ curiosity and plan the video storyboard. We collaborate with the Media Content Team on video production. We actively seek input from the Media Content Team—who are video experts—throughout the planning process. Through this communication and iterative refinement, fun content comes together in no time.
What are the criteria for a suitable project?
😊 There are many types of content , but when creating short-form videos, I focus on whether the content is engaging. For example, I look for projects where the process is interesting or where the before-and-after results are striking. A while back, I produced a video called “Sneaker Eraser,” and it produced amazing results that a regular sponge couldn’t achieve. It turned out to be a fascinating and entertaining short-form video.

I saw that short video too! My shoes get really dirty during the rainy season, so it really caught my eye.
By the way, is the season a factor when selecting short-form video projects?
😊 Siru Absolutely. The season is always important. I really feel that what our supporters need changes significantly depending on the season. There are lots of fun projects tailored to the season, like the weather, holidays, or the school year. Of course, there are also projects that aren’t tied to the season. (Laughs)
Unlike the short-form project videos uploaded weekly, the W-Ranking is uploaded every two weeks, isn't it?
Is there a reason for this?
😆 Mune It’s because of the data collection period. To find the right timeframe, I tried pulling data in one-week and two-week increments. When I extracted data in two-week increments (compared to the data from one week prior) , I found I could showcase a wider variety of projects. Also , since the scheduled launch period ranges from a minimum of 7 to 25 days, I thought checking in two-week intervals would ensure fairness.

Such fun content! Where can I watch it?
😆 Mune 😊 Siru We’re sharing our content across various channels so viewers can watch it wherever they prefer on social media. In addition to the Video tab within the Wadiz app (Go, videos!), we’re posting on the officialWadiz Instagram (@wadiz_official), YouTube (Wadiz), and TikTok (Wadiz) channels!
You’re already subscribed and following our channels, right? 👀
Finally, please share a few words with everyone watching this short video!
😆 Mune If you come across ‘Warangking,’ please like, subscribe, and leave a comment. (But not twice!) We’ll keep working hard to publish content so you can enjoy a trendy crowdfunding life today and every day!
😊 Siru I always enjoy connecting with you through fun and engaging content. I’ll do my best to keep bringing you fresh and useful information!
